Ermatingen is located on Lake Constance - directly opposite the island of Reichenau. When I was there, the water was high. Cellars were flooded and streets were impassable. But the sunrise was fantastic.

The sun was high above the trees and clouds were developing and started to have a pink tinge due to sunset coming. It was a strange view as it was still bright outside.

A beautiful softly coloured sunset sky tonight gave the clouds a lovely tinge and these were reflected in a puddle of water along the shoreline of the lake.

Such a wonderful experience to witness this large circular sheet of ice floating down the Fraser River on this absolutely enchanting winter evening.

The sky, water & ice reflections were completely mesmerizing.

As the sun disappeared below the horizon, a most incredible colour display began....a wide range of colours, from warm sunset yellows and oranges, to combinations that included indigo blues, stunning pinks and reds, and for the grand finale the sky glowed in twilight's deepest purples.

People were coming from all directions to witness this surreal winter sky-show.

Yehliu Geopark is truly a park of natural wonders: rocks carved by wave-cutting and weathering over years and years were formed into shapes resembling figures that are real. The most famous one is of course the Queen’s Head, among other “statues” that are named the Fairy’s Shoe, the Mushroom Rocks, the Tofu Rocks, and the Elephant Rocks, along with many interesting potholes. Do not forget to bring your camera.

Annalong Valley with Slieve Lamagan in the distance. I decided to get up early and drive to Annalong to do my favourite mourne walk. This was easily one of my best times up there as we had a mixture of cloud and clear skies with no rain. I did the Binnian trail which is about seven miles and tough going in places but the views and scenery are well worth it.

There is a lot going on in this ' tree framed' scene.

Vancouver skyline - combined together with a busy looking harbour.

High rise buildings, boat houses, and moored boats of all shapes and sizes. Many of which appear to remain winterized under tarps.

This image, as captured from the Stanley Park Seawall, also includes sky, clouds, water, docks and reflections.

Feel free to look around - there's lots to see ;-)

Well I don't have photos of hearts or flowers, but I feel like I should be somewhat in the spirit of Valentines. So making things pink is the next best thing. I shot this on my flight to Hilo on the Big Island. Hope you all have a good Vday.

Clouds are an HDR from 3 exposures, sky is a blend of 2 exposures. Curves, contrast, pink photo filter fading gradient on clouds, saturation, noise ninja.

On the morning of our second day of trekking, I awoke when it was still dark at Campo Serón, right on the western shore of the Rio Paine. As I waited and looked east, the wind-sculpted clouds began to glow intensely. The countryside reminded me a good deal of Montana, where I lived for a couple summers on the Bitterroot River. Except here the plants were all strange, the river had no fish due to the extraordinary load of glacial flour, and there were Austral Parakeets flying around.

Sunset at the Standing Stones of Callanish, Isle of Lewis, Scotland.

It was early morning when I saw this gorgeous deep pink sunrise over Montreal. I liked how the red showed through the windows of the building under construction. I took this shot from my balcony; the City of Montreal is in the very far distance.

不自覺的,偶竟然會想到這首歌......

這幾天的步調真的是有點焦頭爛額哪~但看到大家精采的作品還是精神為之一振了!(偶在客套什麼惹......)

Getting up at 5am is no fun, I'm not an early riser, more of a night owl. But that said it was a nice first light over the moors.

The best skies over the mountains are almost always minutes after sunset. I frequently see people in the parking lot at Cherry Creek Reservoir watching the sun go down and then cranking up the car an leaving immediately. They miss the really great action.

A flock (or clattering) of jackdaws during a very vibrant sunset. Jackdaws make quite an impressive sight and sound as they fly in formation together before they roost for the night. A spectacular sight especially when it coincides with a dramatic sunset!

The last time I was in the swamp, the sun shone through the fog and filled everything with a golden glow (see picture in the comment). This time the fog wasn't as thick but the sun didn't have much power. But it was enough to create beautiful pink ribbons in the sky.
