Our last stop on Saturday was into one of the many pine forests found in the Central Tablelands. I found it very hard to shoot because of the strong contrasts and the busy nature of the subject
View across an open field to a the pine stand that is part of the hillside. We went up there on a beautiful newer section of trail that was recently blazed. The yellow paint was still wet.

A patch of pine forest hidden in a hollow. Most forest in Pennsylvania is now deciduous second growth. It seems like the plants of the forest floor are also different in the pine forest.
