Collageneous fibrosis due to silica inhalation and black pigmentation due to carbon inhalation. This represent the progressive massive variant of CWP.

Coal worker's pneumoconiosis (CWP), also known as black lung disease and anthracosilicosis, is a lung disease that results from breathing in dust from coal, graphite, or man-made carbon over a long period of time. It occurs primarily in coal miners and others with long time exposure to coal dust. CWP occurs in two forms: simple and complicated (also called progressive massive fibrosis, or PMF).

The risk for developing CWP depends on the length of time of exposure coal dust. Most people with this disease are older than 50. Smoking does not increase the risk for developing CWP. If CWP occurring together with rheumatoid arthritis is called Caplan syndrome.

Moray Eels don't typically have splotches of no pigment. Our conclusion is that this one might have a pigmentation problem.

The white tiger or bleached tiger is a pigmentation variant of the Bengal tiger, which is reported in the wild from time to time in the Indian states of Assam, West Bengal and Bihar in the Sunderbans region and especially in the former State of Rewa.Such a tiger has the black stripes typical of the Bengal tiger, but carries a white or near-white coat.

The tiger is the largest cat species, most recognizable for their pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside. The species is classified in the genus Panthera with the lion, leopard, jaguar, and snow leopard.

Pied Leucism is a genetic mutation in which there is a partial loss of pigmentation. In the case of this Black-capped Chickadee, it has lost its black coloration around its eyes.

Leucistic Eared Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis). Mono Lake County Park. Near Lee Vining, Mono Co., Calif. The bird is leucistic, not albino. It is showing a bit of pigmentation in the legs and eye.

Rock-pool Blenny - Parablennius parvicornis (Valenciennes, 1836) [more of this species]

A blenny that occurs in the Eastern Atlantic African Coast from the Congo River to Cape Blanc (Mauritania/ Western Sahara border) as well as Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, Madeira and the Azores which are further north than Cape Blanc. This species is replaced by P. sanguinolentus in the Mediterranean and Morroco south toe Casablanca. The two species are seperated by about 14° Latitude along the coast. This species has 1 less dorsal spine (X vs XI), some slight differences in dentition and pigmentation.

It is best identified by having 6-7 light stripes radiating outwards around the eyes. The base colour can be very dark to light olive green. The body and the dorsal fins are marbled with a darker shade. There are also lighter spots all over its body including the dorsal and pectoral fins. The front of the dorsal fin is edged with red and the rear edge and the entire length of the anal fin is bordered with a black with a white edige.

Chester Zoo's Spirit of the Jaguar exhibit is home to five magnificent Jaguars. Their rainforest and savannah-themed enclosures replicate the range of habitats occupied by Jaguars in the wild.

Providing the animals with such stimulating environments promotes natural behaviours like climbing, stalking and swimming - which they especially enjoy!

Jaguars’ coats are usually golden with an intricate pattern of black spots, ringed by dark rosettes. ‘Melanistic’ Jaguar, Pele, has an increased amount of dark pigmentation, making his fur black. If you look closely, you can still the typical rosette markings on Pele’s coat.

To further encourage their Jaguars to behave naturally, keepers provide a variety of environmental enrichment including scent trails, scatter feeds, climbing poles, and hiding food (such as chicken, rabbit, beef or fish) around their enclosures. Wild Jaguars are opportunistic hunters, preying on a wide variety of mammals, reptiles and fish.

Cattle-ranching now dominates much of the Jaguars savannah habitats, where they have adapted to prey on domestic cattle - unfortunately bringing them into direct conflict with farmers.

Chester Zoo’s Jaguar and People Conservation Programme works to address human-Jaguar conflict and we also provide grants each year to support various Jaguar conservation projects.

Humpback whales have patterns of black and white pigmentation and scars on the underside of their tails that are unique to each whale, just as fingerprints are to humans. This whale sighting off Provincetown, MA was submitted to the North Atlantic Humpback Whale Catalog (NAHWC).

The Common Blackbird is a species of true thrush. It is also called Eurasian Blackbird (especially in North America, to distinguish it from the unrelated New World blackbirds). It breeds in Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to Australia and New Zealand.

This particular Blackbird has a condition called Leucism (the white spot on his head)

Leucism is a condition characterized by reduced pigmentation in animals and humans. Unlike albinism, it is caused by a reduction in all types of skin pigment, not just melanin.

The Carolina anole (Anolis carolinensis) is an arboreal lizard found primarily in the southeastern United States and some Caribbean islands. Other common names include the green anole, American anole and red-throated anole. It is also sometimes referred to as the American chameleon due to its ability to change color from several brown hues to bright green (though it is not a chameleon).

The typical coloration for a green anole ranges from the richest and brightest of greens to the darkest of browns, with little variation in between. The color spectrum is a result of three layers of pigment cells or chromatophores: the xanthophores, responsible for the yellow pigmentation; cyanophores, responsible for the blue pigmentation, and melanophores, responsible for the brown and black pigmentation when the background is other than green and the anole changes color to camouflage itself. In bright light, against foliage, it appears emerald in colour, but in shadier, cool or moist conditions grey to olive brown. However the colour change is not simply a matter of matching background, but rather body temperature, stress and activity. Green reflects activity and bright light, whereas brown reflects reduced activity in moist, dark cool conditions.

Time, gravity and excess sun exposure can cause deepening of facial lines and uneven pigmentation. This gives an older, tired look to an otherwise youthful complexion. Laser skin resurfacing can reduce, and often remove, much of this damage to the skin and literally "turn back the clock". A tired looking, sun damaged face can obtain an entirely new, fresh look with healthy, glowing smooth skin. This is the goal of laser resurfacing.

There are different levels of laser resurfacing available, depending on the patient's condition, the level of "down time" or recovery period a patient can tolerate, and cost.

White African lions have been etched into African folklore for centuries. In 1975 two white lion cubs were seen in the Timbavati Game Reserve, next to Kruger National Park. In 1976 another white lion cub was sighted in the pride and the legend of the White Lions of Timbavati was born.

White lions are not albino. Instead they represent a condition known as leucism; where there is a loss of normal pigmentation in the skin and fur, but not in the eyes, lips or paw pads.

The white fur of these Bengal tigers is due to homozygosity of a recessive allele that leads to a lack of pigmentation.

Photographed at Hakalau Forest NWR--Pua Akala Tract. This species is one of about 26 damselflies endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. Most are red, as is this species. In species that are red, often both male and female are so, and these species are typically associated with locations that receive high solar radiation. The function of the red pigmentation appears to be as an antioxidant, which could provide protection from UV damage. The Beautiful Hawaiian Dragonfly inhabits small pools and is one of the few native species that has benefitted from pigs, which create said habitat.

Morpho butterflies (genus Morpho – about 80 species) are forest dwellers that venture into sunny clearings to warm themselves. They are neotropical species found mostly in South America as well as Mexico and Central America. Morphos range in wingspan from the 7.5 cm (3 inch) M. rhodopteron to the imposing 20 cm (8 inch)

Sunset Morpho, M. hecuba. The name morpho,

means change, modification or form, and is also

an epithet of Aphrodite and Venus. Most species are colored in metallic, shimmering shades of blue, purple and green. These colors are not a result of pigmentation but are an example of iridescence derived from structural components: the microscopic scales covering the wings reflect incident light repeatedly at successive layers, leading to interference. Thus the colors produced vary with the viewing angle. This structure may be likened to a photonic crystal. The

lamellate structure of their wing scales has been studied as a model in the development of fabrics,

dye‐free paints, and anti‐counterfeit technology used in currency. The iridescent lamellae are only present on the dorsal side of their wings, leaving the ventral side brown. In most species only the males are colorful and males are highly territorial. The lamellae reflect up to 70% of light falling on them, including any ultraviolet (UV). The eyes are thought to be highly sensitive

to UV light and therefore the males are able to see each other from great distances. The ventral side is decorated with numerous ocelli or eyespots.

Biarkan hingga kering selama beberapa menit.

(mlt)

I'm baaaaack!! We had a lovely break down the south coast of NSW. I have wanted to visit a privately owned zoo called Mogo Zoo which is about 10 kms from Bateman's Bay. I had heard that they now have a breeding programme for the white lions of the Timbavati Region, which borders Kruger National Park, South Africa. White lions are not albino as they have pigmentation which shows particularly in eye, paw pad and lip colour. The correct term for their condition is leucism, a state where there is near-normal eye colour, but loss of pigment in the skin and fur.

Masai Giraffe (giraffa camelopardalis tippelskirchi)

- Range: the Savannas of eastern Africa. Note: in prehistoric time this single species ranged over most open areas in Africa. The giraffe range began to shrink 1,400 years ago to its present size.

- Diet: Girraffes are browsers. plucking leaves, buds and fruits from trees such as acacia, mimosa and wild apricot.

- Fun Fact: a giraffe's 18-inch tongue helps extend its reach way up into the treetops and curls in between spiny thorns on acacia trees. It is believed that the black pigmentation prevents the tongue from getting sunburned.

Laguna Colorada

Laguna Colorada (Red Lagoon) is a shallow salt lake in the southwest of the altiplano of Bolivia, within Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve

The lake contains borax islands, whose white color contrasts nicely with the reddish color of its waters, which is caused by red sediments and pigmentation of some algae.

James's Flamingos abound in the area. Also it is possible to find Andean and Chilean flamingos, but in a minor quantity.

Retinol is perhaps the most venerated fixings in the magnificence business and has been demonstrated to be powerful at handling early indications of maturing, for example, pigmentation including sun harm, almost negligible differences and wrinkles.

Just as having 'a peeling impact that smoothes skin surface and gives a characteristic sparkle, it additionally has cell reinforcement properties and lessens the presence of earthy colored spots,' says Dr Bernard Hayot.

how to use retinol serum do 'invigorates adaptability and flexibility of the skin, collagen and furthermore assists with making a brilliant coloring just as recovering melanin to handle pigmentation.'

Ensure you're utilizing an item that contains the right type of retinol, however. Check the fixings list first to ensure it contains 'retinol or retinaldeyhe, as opposed to one of the less compelling subordinates, for example, retintyplalmitate,' suggests Dr Stefanie Williams.

when to use retinol serum?, Retinol is a type of retinoid, which is a subordinate of nutrient A. Dr Hayot adds: 'retinol is a nutrient A corrosive, which is the regular forerunner to retinoic corrosive. Then, at that point body changes retinol into retonic corrosive.'

It's in this structure, as retonic corrosive, that the advantages of retinol are genuinely felt on the skin.

Start, at the most recent, when you see the primary indications of decreased skin versatility, barely recognizable differences and furthermore unpredictable pigmentation,' prompts Dr Stefanie Williams, dermatologist and Director of the Eudelo center.

At the point when first utilizing retinol you can encounter some aggravation like dryness, redness and surprisingly flaky skin. So in case it's your first time utilizing it, ease yourself in by applying a low rate and just use two times seven days at stretches, continuously expanding to day by day utilize if your skin can endure it well.
