Mosaics are sooo busy looking anyways I am wondering if this is overwhelming.

Frame created with Apparent Software's ImageFramer 2.2 for Mac OS X

bit like wallace and gromit

but its my picture frame of scooby doo

just was messing about....

This is a picture frame that I decorated for my parents 39th anniversary. I wanted to do something different. The frame I got from LTD Commodities over 5 years ago, the flowers came from K&Company Susan Winget's Spring Blossom Dasiy Layered Accents Collection, The paperBlue Hills Studio Tales of Blue Collection and the letters cut with the Cricut (forget the cartridge).

more frame than picture, and big enough that it'd look uncomfortably large in a garden. I suggested that they put a picture of the picture frame in the picture frame, but am I the hands-down barefoot laugh riot of the wedding afterparty? I am not.

my newest creations!!!

A friend of mine with her two sons.

three blank black photo frames on white shelf

I did this idea upon being inspired by Katie Lee but i wanted to twist it up a bit.

so all i want to do is add a poem and hope that you all will like the idea.

I push across the time

and come out on the other side of things

they are not the same

because i got here on my own

by grasping onto the edges of myself

and pulling myself through

though it may look like the same place entirely

i know that its different only by the fact that

it was by my choice alone to go there

and i'lll never look back again.

Took a bit of measuring to get these positioned correctly.

Built this jig to help align all the pieces together.

The piece was finished with a few coats of oil and a thin coating of wax. The backing is a sheet of ply with some nice paper glued to it and a piece of 2mm float glass on top.

The new owner now just needs to find a nice picture to put inside it. Maybe one of myself? ;)

Toying with Shadows in the apartment

"The pic above is my new inspiration board propped up against one of the walls, I went with a buttery shade of light yellow for the walls, it really brightens up this north-facing room. I'm still debating on accent colors. Second, I'm thrilled to announce that the remodelling..."

Our friends Sam and Sarah moved out of the city a few years back and bought an old house in the country, with nothing but trees and fields all around. This picture frame hangs from a tree near their deck. Somehow, framing the natural view like a portrait or window acts as a subtle reminder to appreciate it all.

This photo focuses on the topic of grief and sadness that is often hidden.

An example of our picture framing.

Been wanting to do one of these shots for some time now. Finally remembered that I had this awesome (albeit ragged) antique art frame tucked away "in case I needed it for something". This is one of those cases that being a packrat came in handy. LOL

Believe it or not, the reason why I like this one best out of all the attempted "framed" shots I took is because of the shadow on my face. I'm weird. I know. :P
