Must learn how to take this photo without a reflection!

Our friends Sam and Sarah moved out of the city a few years back and bought an old house in the country, with nothing but trees and fields all around. This picture frame hangs from a tree near their deck. Somehow, framing the natural view like a portrait or window acts as a subtle reminder to appreciate it all.

This photo focuses on the topic of grief and sadness that is often hidden.

An example of our picture framing.

Been wanting to do one of these shots for some time now. Finally remembered that I had this awesome (albeit ragged) antique art frame tucked away "in case I needed it for something". This is one of those cases that being a packrat came in handy. LOL

Believe it or not, the reason why I like this one best out of all the attempted "framed" shots I took is because of the shadow on my face. I'm weird. I know. :P

Frames were pressed together in an eclectic array all over this old wood A great walk on the historic boardwalk of the Coupeville, WA pier.

One of my favorites. Made with vitreous glass, aquarium pebbles, and rocks.

Sometimes, machinery just can't do the trick well enough. A little chiseling and we'll be right.

the print in the frame is not crumpled, its a reflection of a rubber plant.

i've been trying to get some decent shoots of my frames for my site www.root2art.co.uk", but its not easy. not with my limited photographic skills that is.

So many errors, but oh well. I don't have the patience to fix them.

This is something I saw on the internet and gave it a try last night. It's my sister and I at a family reunion in 2001. I made the picture in photoshop using a sky picture I had and added our picture to it and glued it to a DVD then used binder clips for legs. I will get smaller clips and try them.
