April 26, 2022 - The Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp (1632) "Rembrandt was only twenty-five when he was asked to paint the portraits of the Amsterdam surgeons. The painting was commissioned for the anatomy lesson given by Dr Nicolaes Tulp in January 1632.
Rembrandt portrayed the surgeons in action, and they are all looking at different things. Dynamism is added to the scene by the great contrasts between light and dark. In this group portrait, the young painter displayed his legendary technique and his great talent for painting lifelike portraits." Ability to display a Flickr stream from RSS feeds and certain tags
Possibly realtime weather, time?
All of this is more of a dream at this point, as I am not much of a coder :), but a confident hacker.

"Division Street America" from a Studs Terkel book title. Also, the actual street bridge did have a plaque dedication to Studs. Being Chicago, it went away when the old rust belt infrastructure gave way to a sleek modern bridge. For my new gallery show, I created the 16x20 inch frame from real rust.
This started off as a simple wooden picture frame. It is mostly purple mirror tiles with silver mirror to create a distinct pattern. I've also used some small red mirror tiles to just to add a little more colour to the overall design.
A "do it yourself" digital pictureframe I made from an old IBM Thinkpad 600 laptop. The project was inspired by this guy's version I found online www.tacosntonic.com/pictures/Projects/Digital Picture Frame/
Don't mind the unsightly power cord, this was taken during the initial wall hanging and test.
The frame/laptop is equipped with a USB wifi card and automatically updates the pictures from my flickr account using the screensaver "Slickr". I also installed a VNC program so I can control the laptop remotely if I need to.
If you have an old laptop kicking around thats to slow for anything else I'd suggest making a similar project.
