1952 Chevy Pickup during ARC Car Show at Old Cowtown Museum. The car show was a fundraiser for the ARC of Sedgwick County.

The Arc of Sedgwick County began in 1953 when parents concerned about services and future opportunities for their children formed The Wichita Association for Retarded Children. This was the first organization in this country to promote the general welfare of all persons with mental retardation, to foster the development of programs on their behalf and to increase the public’s awareness and acceptance.

This is the first Hudson pickup I have ever seen.

Pickup 34 operates a 1984 Chevy Silverado four-wheel-drive pickup equipped with a 300 gallon skid unit with 150 gpm pump.

Lots of classic lines on this old beauty.

This Chevrolet custom pickup is one of the 1,929 vehicles which took part in the Atlantic Nationals car show in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada from July 7 to July 10, 2011.

Inside the pickup trucks cab. Remember, it's all wood, and a full size pickup truck, too.

I scanned this photograph in with my Epson Perfection 4490 Photo Scanner.

I took this with my film camera, the Minolta 8000i.

The Hays Antique Truck Museum is located in the Heidrick Ag History Center at 1962 Hays Lane in Woodland, California. Parking is free. Please call (530) 666-9700

The museum has plenty of old trucks, and, if I'm remembering rightly, it also has some very old restored farming tractors.

It's been years since I've gone to this museum, I was going through some of my old photographs, and thought I'd share this photo with you.

This pickup truck is totally made of wood, even right down to the engine parts, and I believe it also had the wooden transmission. The wiring of this pickup truck was done with thin flexible wooden dowels.

A mirror was put directly under the trucks hood, as shown here, so that, you could see the whole engine.

Enjoy,

1939 International pickup.

Buildin' the trans tunnel. I'm makin' it as close as I can to the transmission so it's not gonna be symetrical since I have to have clearance for the shifter and trans fluid lines. The top piece will be removable. My gas pedal will be mounted high on the left side of the tunnel, '60s gasser style.

Rare Chevrolet Pickup that looked the part at the show.

Taken at the Maitland Show and Shine, Maitland, NSW in 2013.

Great old refurbished pickup was in a barn behind the pumpkin patch -- the farmer had quite the collection -- he saw my black and white sketch offered to pay me for a drawing of it --- ha so I got my first commission.

Tick tock..Tick tock..what is he searching for in next second?

Worried a bit but exciting, they stared at me my close up snapshot. It was a quirky seasonal flea market scenario, filled up with unusual commodities along the street.

Any pickup would you like there?

I thought this looked great in proper period condition, with a load of logs in the back (though maybe car parts would have been a better cargo, given it's sign-written for a breakers yard).

My dad thought it would look better re-sprayed, but I definitely prefer it like this. It's been in the country for 3 years.

Classic old Ford pickup with only 19,500 miles. Updated with power steering, 351 V8, automatic trans and disc brakes.
