Day 173/365 - summer. Summer means grandkids staying with us. Every night after our youngest granddaughter brushes her teeth she marks her calendar.
Authenticity
Talking about something you either don't care about, or have no knowledge of, is lose-lose. The speaker feels they just endured that conversation, and the listener is not likely to feel moved to pursue your cause.
When we speak from our hearts, there can be no mistaking that it's the truth. We can speak freely and with passion, and at the end of it we feel filled with the emotion and passion that brought us to be speaking about it in the first place. And whether your listener feels the same about it or not, there can be no doubting they'll sense your passion - and that will lift them, and move them. Win-win.
Think about this, next time you find yourself being unauthentic - no one is winning.
(This thought (among many, many more though-provoking things) was fed to me by the amazing Jesh de Rox).
This was difficult. I don't get sad that much I think, I mean I do cry a lot but it's usually out of frustration or anger or feeling down, not so much out of sadness. Not having our own house with Matt is one of these things.

Husband is going to be in the wedding of his HS friends. He always looks handsome when he dresses up! :)
Day 220/365 - in my pocket. These days I rarely carry anything in my pocket, but before I retired I carried one of these Pocket Angels in my pocket everyday.
This is why I bother !!
First proper frost in a while, driving to work as the sun came up, mists rising from the ground. I took a little detour from my normal Journey via Little Britain Lake. Could not have asked for better light - magical
Fish & chips. I didn't have time to make anything for today's lunch, and we didn't have much anything at home anyway.
