Day 38 of 365, Goldfinch on neigbours feeders! Gray, flat day, light awful! But got this fella anyway! Photo is heavly cropped, need to get that lens or extender!

Day 172/365 - shapes. Rectangles forming a pentagon in a square frame. Three shapes will do just fine, thank you.

Day 203/365 - open.

January 1st 2010. First of all, my scanner sucks! Please don't hold this against me. Now that that's out of the way...here's my 1st contribution for the "one photo-a-day challenge". Rob S. from Big Camera Workshops in Ontario challenged the brave photogs at APUG...and me to try this. So far so good.

Day 18/365 - something I bought. I bought my daughter an ArtBin Super Satchel for her budding crafting supply stock. She is a "new" crafter - still starting out, so her supplies will fit in this (for now).

This one is a little emotional. A month ago I would have answered it with pictures of our cats. Now its a picture of how they will always be in our home after their passing. Miss my Keno and Lotto. :(

Spent the afternoon at Wollongong - storm and rain for most of the afternoon but managed to catch a glimpse of blue.

Day 5/365 - Something I wore today - pretty much my usual winter wear - denim and flannel (sometimes I do change up the denim for fleece).

Got my acceptance letter for the program to study abroad next semester

Day 101/365 - mail. Two billing statements, one bridal tea invite and a magazine. No "Happy Mail" (i.e. packages of some sort of goodies . . . like art supplies or kid toys or new movies).

My new necklace, brought recently for me by my partner.

seems fitting as it was my main go-to device during the first month of this challenge.

Okay, so, typically, cicada shells? Not considered beautiful. But there's so much beauty in the natural world if you look closely enough -- so I shot this with my iPhone through my Pentax K1000's macro lens, and yes, it was beautiful.
