I just wore black today, like on most days. Yeah, I know I'm boring. I did wear this awesome necklace I got from Hannah for Christmas, though :)
I was walking with my dog today and saw the 'trash sign' so I decided it will be my photo for today.
I didn't like the "trash" theme for today but ok!
I couldn't figure out a photo for today.
So I put this "black photo" that means darkness and nightmares [are definitely things that I don't like]
Day 45/365 - Love. A collage of all things old - LOL. Me & hubs on our honeymoon 34 years ago, our wedding bands & a coffee mug hubs gave me our first Christmas married. I <3 Terry
I never thought this tree would flower, I stopped even looking at it. I would have completely missed the flowers if I hadn't gone searching for them - they are quite hidden, and very subtle. But it doesn't look subtle here does it! Once I found the first flower, all I saw were more and more. Yet only the day before this, I barely gave it a glance.
Sometimes we get so focussed on the end result of our goals that we run towards it, head-long, and in knocking down everything in our path, we have spoiled the amazing view that would have been there when we arrive

Day 96/365 - something raw. Making Ham Balls - kinda like Meatballs only made using ground leftover ham and ground pork. Has a nice sauce too - kinda sweet & sour ( made with brown sugar, vinegar and dry mustard.
Sleep evaded me last night ... wish my eyes closed and I went off to sleep as soon as I'm horizontal!
Young and old.
I had a completely different photo in mind for today, but as I walked around the house I looked up and was struck by the lighting on the branches. I then spent the next few minutes transfixed by the tree.
We are lucky to have this beautiful big tree in our garden. It is constantly dropping branches on the ground below, and regrowth takes no time to replace them. After I'd been looking at it for a while I saw some rosellas coming and going from the higher branches. This tree is home to many different birds. There is so much to look at, and learn, from the cycle of life that a tree holds.
