Giboulées de mars... en mai!
PADC 2009 photo n°11
Après des chutes de grêle vendredi et dimanche, des orages pendant le weekend, un réveil ensoleillé lundi suivi par des trombes d'eau dans la journée... je crois qu'il faut admettre que l'adage l'a dans le c**.
Each year, salmon swim up the Feather River and finish their journey at the fish hatchery in Oroville, CA. Here is the underwater viewing station (weekly series: "Feather River" | a local waterway).

PADC 2009 photo n°28
Voici une des photos que je voulais définitivement prendre avant la fin du PADC. Atmosphère sombre, source de lumière aussi vive que froide, un bel air (d')ahuri... je suis assez content de moi finalement.
Strobist: flash with CTB 1/2 at 1/8th power triggered by CactusV2.
Woke up this Sunday morning remembering the puff pastry leftovers Grandma used to let I and sister have; sometimes - most times - we would eat those bits raw, other times we would make shapes and send them baking. I woke this Sunday morning missing eating pastry out of the flour bed in Grandma's kitchen table but mostly, I woke up missing Her. It is one of my favourite childhood memories.
So, making a batch of these is as if a piece of Her had come back.
And that definitely was the best part of this weekend.
Day 46 of 365, Whooper Swan landing at Welney... Spent a few hours at WWT Welney today at the suggestion of my wife, though she didn't quite enjoy it as much as she thought she was going too.. I did, and managed to get some brilliant photos!
Downtown Oroville, CA. (weekly series: "Minimalism" | back to basics)

Day 263/365 - sweat. Some days I hate the pod prompt . . . today is one of those days. Seriously - "sweat"? How and why? I try my best not to get sweaty, and besides, seeing any sweaty person is gross. So, today you get to see some tiles from a Zentangle workshop I went to yesterday. I love hoe everyone is working with the same four patterns and yet there is so much difference between them all. Enjoy, you can thank me later for not sharing a sweaty person with you.
This was a bit of a challenge for me...what you do... Sure I could have taken a photo at work, but that's just work... I only do that because I have no other choice!! Not that I don't love my job, because I do, so don't get me wrong. But I wanted this to be something more. So, this is what I do when I'm not working and when I'm not doing photography (which is a given), I sing. And this correctly represents what I did yesterday...the mic, G in the background at the computer, the computer...we were recording the last song I wrote. G's had the back track done for what seems like forever...well before the holidays, but we never recorded the vocals. I believe I got sick or wasn't feeling well, we had a bunch of gigs, etc., etc., it was excuse after excuse. So we promised each other we'd get the vocals recorded and we did yesterday. Now more mixing, then background vocals and it'll be up so you can hear it! It'll feel so good to get this finished finally!
Day 18: October 2012 Photo a Day Challenge.
Theme: View from a street corner.
View from the corner of Evelyn Crescent and and Glengala Road, Sunshine West looking towards the Glengala Hotel and one of the fantastic palm trees they have in the middle of round-a-bouts in this street.
