The brick wall and planter are finished. Most of the plants are in. Now I need to start thinking about lights and moving the water line. See the comments for Phases 1 and II..

These very smart Engineering students made a guitar using lasers for the strings.

 

Strobist: I have three lights above and behind them with gels to make it look like they are on a stage. This was all shot in our lobby area. I have a soft box to the right and three grid lights on each face. I used a smoke machine to enhance the color gels and to show the lasers where the strings would usually be placed. This is a tricky shot, you can't spill light where the lasers are because it will wash out the lasers. I used a 1/5 of a second shutter to catch the ambient of the lasers from the smoke.

Look closely at the mugs shots of people floating aimlessly in the Universe - is there anyone you know there? I can see at least three actors and a couple of neighbors and maybe a geezer who looks like me - aaaagh! If you spot your father or a favorite uncle then buy them a print at Imagekind - they might be chuffed to find themselves in a work of art.

The basis of Phase contrast microscopy is an optical illumination technique that changes the brightness passing through a transparent specimen in the image. To the naked eye, the phase shifts are invisible.
