"I first came to Mines in 2005 to get my bachelor’s in petroleum engineering. I worked a little bit, came back to get my master’s, and now I’m working on my PhD. Mines has a good program, good professors, so I guess that kept me here."

"My research...I’m trying to understand more, and explain some of the physics, and to understand some of the ideas that have developed in unconventional areas. Trying to understand multiphase effects…it’s all kind of new so hopefully I can find something there."

"I don’t know yet about my plans after Mines. I do like Colorado, I definitely like the sun! Winter is really nice sports-wise. I like skiing and snowboarding...summer, 14ers. Haha yeah I guess you could say I do a lot of the typical Colorado activities. Umm, I’ve done about 7-8 I think. There’s a lot though."

"I’m thankful for the fact that I got to go see my grandparents this year. They’re in Arizona. My grandpa’s not doing too well, but he’s still chug-a-luggin', and I got to see them for Thanksgiving last week."

"He’s really happy they got to see me play soccer. My soccer team had nationals, so he got to to see me play, and then I got to go eat with them…it was nice to be able to spend some time with them."
