Perhaps for my old Pinarello project.

Perhaps no place in any community is so totally democratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest.

Bug in mango seed. Kailua Kona, 750'

These tumbling flower beetles were crawling over leaves, flying, and landing again at Horton Grove Reserve in Durham County, North Carolina on 6 June 2020. This sure looked to me like lekking (courtship/mating) behavior. It was hard to keep track of individuals, so these images are combined for an iNaturalist observation. Identifying members of this family is difficult, but the pattern on these looked distinctive--these appear to be:

Falsomordellistena pubescens (3-4 mm)

Perhaps I'll Die.

Ahhh... Lovely roses growing up the side of the house in a shape that looks vaguely like an ___...

Perhaps the greatest Gaelic Football side to even visit Luxembourg!!

I made this for my color theory class - a gradation of purples..over 325 triangles. the two rings are from a shower curtain, they're wrapped in copper wire

Perhaps the most elaborate tomb in the cathedral is that of Archbishop Henry Chichele (d.1443) on the north side of the choir. The bishop's effigy lies resplendent on an open chest which reveals his emaciated cadaver effigy beneath, providing a dramatic contrast (the monument was mostly built in Chichele's lifetime). The richest part however is the canopy, a flat top (in common with Canterbury's other more sumptuous medieval monuments) carved with shield-bearing angels and supported on either side by tabernacle-encrusted columns, filled with sculpted figures in canopied niches and like the rest of the monument fully coloured.

It should be added that much of this splendour, specifically the colouring and the statuettes in niches, is the result of thorough Victorian restoration (by the studio of C.E.Kempe) with the cost borne by All Soul's College in Oxford (which was founded by Chichele, a legacy was provided to inspect and if necessary repair the tomb every 50 years).

Perhaps off for a repaint, I can't find my notes. Wasn't delivered until 31 Oct/1 Nov.

Scared the crap out of those birds.

Best seen in larger size on dark background (just click image above)

This is a vast tiled floor outside the first palace, as wide as a road and as long as a city block. It is built over a short flight of steps, so it cannot be used by vehicles. It is rare to see this level of detail over such a large area.

Below is another shot. The camera registered WB a little differently, with more reflection coming into it from the surface, but I decided to leave it alone, instead of trying to match with the above.

You can see all my photos from my visit to this place at my Chowmahalla Palace set.

This is what she's working on. I have no idea how she does it.

Rosemary's Baby, restored and in high definition. It gets better each time I watch it.

One of Denmark's three biggest circus had come to town with a big program. This little girl was soooo exited, she was killing time doing cartwheels while the adults were buying the tickets.

Perhaps my favorite place in Europe, Scotland continues to draw me back time and time again.

These photos were taken on a Canon T3i during a 6 day road trip through the Scottish highlands.

Perhaps this butterfly's last meal.

Perhaps it was cold, perhaps it had another reason, but it never moved. I returned when the sun reached this spot, and it was gone

the most fragrant rose in all of California is found in front of the Inyo County Court House in Independence ... it's awesome - the scent-makers need to visit here ...

Perhaps the work of a woodpecker?

Perhaps one of the most appealing residential buildings in Manhattan, the legendary Dakota was built in 1884 by the same firm that designed the Plaza Hotel. The 9 story building has 93 units and records show an average sales price of $11.440.600. If the impressive finishes of the building aren't enough to grab your attention, a few interesting facts might;

- for 45 years (1884 - 1929) the building had zero vacancies.

- it was named the Dakota as in the Dakota territories, given that this section of upper West Side was mostly farmland when it was built

- celebrity residents have included Judy Garland, Rosemary Clooney, and Yoko Ono and John Lennon.

- Lennon was tragically killed right here in the archway of the building in 1980.

Inspired by the work of Louis Jover.

Perhaps a bit too much....

You are looking at the first commercially-available human genome sequencer. For $1000 per sequence, you can take a sample of DNA and this machine, in under a day, will run the full sequence. It was spooky just seeing it in person-- people have been talking about this technology like we used to talk about flying cars, and there it was.

Perhaps my favorite photo from this trip.

Perhaps a little inside joke - a trio of items native to countries who colonized Africa? Certainly nothing African about them. Cured meats, sliced cheese, toppings and garnishes, and smoked salmon.

Perhaps not the safest book storage option in a city known for its earthquakes.

Perhaps the idea of mis-spelling is to draw attention to the matter at hand?

Perhaps from the 1906 campaign which he seems to have lost to his successor James H. Malone. I cannot find any information on the 1906 election.

J.J. Williams was first elected mayor in 1898. The Memphis Park Commission was formed in 1901, Riverside Park was acquired in 1902, and Overton Park opened in 1906.

Not a great shot! I found it funny that there arent more guys selling umbrellas in Manchester.

Another shot from my first roll on my "new to me" ebay 43mm (Well out of date FP4)

Tried to hand hold braced against a concrete post... failed at 1/8 of a second I think. Also should have been on the 65mm - I will do better next time.

I am kinda having to get used to that Mamiya 7 hair trigger again ;-)

This guy was selling umbrellas outside Manchester Arndale - Surely the rainiest place on earth?

Perhaps shaking his present to see what it was, wasn't the best idea ...
