"The hour glass" was the name of a small play by "A PART " from Poland. It was the torment of a woman that was assaulted by a man, or men, meat threatened by meat, meat coming from other meat, live flesh that is gettin exposed bit by bit to the world, in the most undiginified of manners. IS there a soul left in her, or just meat, caressed by other meat...

The Performing for the Camera project, dedicated to the students of the art academies of Florence (Italian and international), comes from the idea of using the Marina Abramović exhibition. The Cleaner (21 September 2018-20 January 2019) as a research ground on the relationship between photography and performance, offering students the opportunity to try their hand at producing new works of art and publishing a publication.
The activity, which will have a three-month development, will allow students to approach the close link between performance and photography by analyzing the relationships and specificities of the two artistic languages. Among the events at Palazzo Strozzi are also scheduled two talks with the artists Francesca Banchelli and Caterina Pecchioli to encourage a direct confrontation with two professionals whose practice is related to the subject matter.
The theme will offer students an overview of photography used as a tool for performance documentation, or practiced as a performative act in itself, to be interpreted and applied in the field of artistic research. In the second phase of the project the works created by the students will become the material for the realization of a publication edited by the students themselves.
The project is carried out in collaboration with:
LABA – Libera Accademia di Belle Arti (prof. Massimo Agus e Maurizio Di Lella)
Lorenzo de’ Medici (prof. Gianluca Maver)
Syracuse University (prof.ssa Stefania Talini)
SACI College of Art and Design (prof. Jacopo Santini e Romeo Di Loreto)

Cosmic forces were at work when MGMT's co-founders, Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser met over ten years ago at Wesleyan University. Drawn together by a mutual love of mystic paganism, the duo signed to Columbia Records in the eve of 2006. On a mission to sprinkle the music industry with weirdness and unpredictability the band delivered their debut album "Oracular Spectacular" in 2008. The record garnered the band three Grammy nominations, along with numerous accolades across the globe, including landing at #18 on Rolling Stone magazine's Top 100 albums of the decade.

Made up of five young lads—Jay McGuinness, Max George, Nathan Sykes , Siva Kaneswaran and Tom Parker—The Wanted are already rivaling some of the biggest music acts around today. So what is it about this band that has grabbed the nation’s attention? “Most boybands have very similar sounds,” explains Nathan. “We wanted to make ours different – not just from other groups, but each song unique too.” And combine that great music style with humble backgrounds and a down-to-earth approach and you can immediately see why people adore them.

After performing all over the world Les Enfants Terribles present their multiple award winning show, ‘The Terrible Infants.’ Based upon a series of twisted tales by Oliver Lansley and Sam Wyer; this fantastic spectacle blends puppetry, live music, performance, story telling and physicality into a highly sensory theatrical feast suitable for big kids and small grown-ups. Featuring narration recorded by Dame Judi Dench. Our writer and performer Oliver Lansley also works extensively in television co-creating/writing ITV2's 'FM' and currently working on numerous other projects including 'Whites' which is dues to be shown on BBC this Autumn and stars Alan Davies and Katherine Parkinson.
'The Terrible Infants' features Tumb, the boy who eats his mum, Thingummyboy, with a face even his mother forgets, Little Linena, the material girl, Manky Mingus and of course little Tilly and her terrible tail. Roald Dahl meets Tim Burton in this hugely theatrical, scary, funny, sad, silly, junk-filled, puppetry packed, dark, delicious, musical, magical piece of performance.
