There is only one Icelandic word used in the English language: geyser. Though the word refers to all geysers in general, it comes from a single geyser (in fact, the geyser) located in the South West of Iceland. Unfortunately, the Great Geysir has been somewhat shy in recent decades, though on special occasions it can sometimes be coaxed into a performance with some soap. When Geysir does perform, it lives up to its name, spuming a jet of steaming water 200 feet skyward.
Strokkur (“the churn”), which spouts a 60-100 foot jet about once every five minutes. The geyser area is also rich in walking paths that lead past steaming vents and colorful, mineral-rich mud formations.

Rebecca is vocalist and trumpeter and performed in a back patio of 'Pamenar' which seats about 30 people (uncomfortably 😄) Michael is Rebecca's long time partner, so I purposely included him in the photo. Kensington Jazz Festival was back after forced hiatus, the attendance was about 60% of previous years, but the concerts were 100% wonderful.

One taken a couple of weeks ago. The light wasn’t brilliant that afternoon and the sun had cortina,y gone behind a cloud by this point. Needed a little bit of PP to lighten things up to be able to see the bud. Reminds me a little of a ballerina about to start on her performance. Thanks for stopping

He usually performs solo and appropriately uses just one name. He wore Raptor's T-shirt (Toronto basketball team), but he seem to have enough fans even without this gesture. From San Diego (1992), he studied jazz at UCLA (Kenny Burrell) and played and recorded mostly solo and lately with several hip-hop groups. Interesting Fact: Samsung released their Galaxy ringtone, 'Over the Horizon', which was produced by Kiefer.
Kiefer (his last name is Shackelford) and in Montreal actually played with CARRTOONS (also uses just one name) - Bass and Luke Sangerman – Drums. It seemed that they really had fun playing together.

A group of women performs rituals and fell into trance in the Gandak river near Sonepur, India.
More about Sonepur Mela on my website: www.maciejdakowicz.com/sonepur-mela/
Sonepur Mela is one of Asia's largest cattle fairs and is held in the Indian state of Bihar. The fair starts on Karthik Purnima (Kartika Poornima, the full moon day) in November and lasts for around a month. It begins on the full moon day as a religious Hindu festival. Thousands of pilgrims make offerings and take a ritual bath in Gandak river, near its confluence with the Ganges. Numerous tantriks practise black magic to remove the evil energies from the pilgrims and resolve their problems. There are also many holy men (sadhus) and religious gurus with followers in their own camps, praying, chanting and meditating. Spiritual activities are the main point of the fair for a couple of days. When all pilgrims are gone back to their towns and villages the religious event transforms itself into a large fair trade and amusement park which continues for about a month.

The 2018 Lincoln Luminarium organised by LPAC (Lincoln Performing Arts Centre) and located outside the Main Administrivia building of the University of Lincoln, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
A luminarium is a massive inflated sculpture people can walk through inside it is a maze of winding paths and soaring domes. Founder, designer and artistic director of Architects of Air, Alan Parkinson, has been designing and making these luminariums for the past 25 years.
Since 1992 more than 3 million visitors in over 40 countries across 5 continents have been welcomed into Architects of Air’s monumental luminaria, immersed in radiant colour that comes simply from daylight shining through the luminarium’s fabric.
The luminarium visiting Lincoln is called Miracoco and is one of seven which tour the world, the others are named Albesila, Katena, Arboria, Pentalum, Mirazozo and Amococo. All luminaria are of a similar large scale (1000m2 /10,000ft2) and are modular to adapt to different sites.
The luminaria have been seen in a great variety of contexts: at festivals of music, theatre, science & dance, at arts centres & museums, at community, corporate & school events, architecture & design related events, etc. The luminaria is also presented as a stand-alone event e.g. as part of a civic summer programme.

In 1928 the Loew's State Theatre opened on Weybosset Street in downtown Providence as an opulently elegant movie house. Over the years its offerings, and its name, changed with the times, going from movies, to concerts of classical music and for a long time a well-known rock-n-roll venue. Saved from the wrecking ball around 1978 and extensively renovated since, the Providence Performing Arts Center today hosts large Broadway productions as well as orchestra performances in its once again majestically opulent surroundings. The theater's Richmond Street entrance still announces the interior grandeur inside. Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
Providencia, Rhode Island, Estados Unidos.
