The expansion of residential suburbs in the 1960’s and 1970’s left our central city with stately but underutilized school facilities. Fremont School is one example - a beautiful brick and terracotta building in the Spanish Revival style on a quiet Midtown street. It had a ‘second life’ as an adult education center, which was has since been shuttered.
After much discussion and negotiation, Fremont School now is slated as the new creative home for Sacramento’s Performing Arts community. The high ceilings and large classrooms have the potential to perfectly suit rehearsal and teaching needs for the Sacramento Ballet, Sacramento Opera and Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra.
There are many technical challenges to adapting an early 20th century non-reinforced masonry building to the needs of 21st century performing arts. We are diving into these challenges with creative energy, confident that this new Studios for the Performing Arts will be a vibrant and creative magnet in the community.

Dance-R&B singer-songwriter Maya Simantov (מאיה סימנטוב), also known as Maya, was born and raised in Israel to a Jewish family. Maya's debut dance album First Time received praise as one of Israel's all-time best dance albums and was released internationally by Star69 Records.
In 2005 Maya recorded numerous top ratings on major charts around the world, "Searching" entering the billboard top 25 and "First Time" hitting top 10 on billboard dance/club play.
In 2006 a second album entitled Second Time and the single "Be My Boyfriend" started around the world the "Offermanía" with Maya as one of the main protagonists. For 2007, DJ Offer Nissim released a double album with their best remixes and some his own, in collaboration with Maya; the same happened in 2008 with double album Happy People which includes, among other issues, "I'm In Love", "Wish You Where Here", "Love Me", "Why" and "Happy People".
Israeli born producer, Yinon Yahel began his musical career as the keyboardist for the well known Israeli rock band Eman

NMH performing arts groups including the symphony orchestra, musical theater, the junior and senior dance companies, concert and jazz bands, concert choir, the World Music Percussion Ensemble and the stage band performed short sets from their upcoming end of fall term productions for live and streamed audiences at the Rhodes Center for the Arts, October 8, 2021, in support of Fall Family Weekend, 2021. Performing in the soiree were members of the Collichon Ensemble: Naomi Barker (baroque flute), John Finnon (bass viol) and John Treherne (harpsichord).
The Avison Ensemble is proud to have sponsored this year’s Music Celebration Week presented by Gateshead Music Service. Hundreds of children across Gateshead were involved in workshops, sing-a-longs, demonstrations and concerts, as well as a WOPPING big, music-filled picnic at Gibside!
The Avison Ensemble is grateful to The Roland Cookson Fund at The Community Foundation and the Arts Council North East for supporting Music Celebration Week.
The Avison Ensemble is the outstanding period instrument orchestra based in Newcastle upon Tyne, which plays and popularises the music of Charles Avison (1709-1770) and other English classical composers of the Baroque period, such as Garth, Arne and Herschel. The Ensemble also performs Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, Corelli, Geminiani, Pergolesi, Teleman, Rameau, Bach, Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven.

VISUAL COMPOSER PERFORMANCE
I perform my music with my interactive stage design.
It is best to experience my performance live.
I use Ableton Live with an M-Audio Microphone & Keyboard, and the keys of my MacBook Pro to make my tracks.
For this video, I am using an instrumental, but I am also a recording artist.
I make my music, write the lyrics, record my vocals, mix and master my albums.
I then create all the visuals.
I create every single aspect of my work to give you a spherical 4 dimensional experience of my Art.
To create the interactive animation, I write code in Processing (Open Source Programming Language based on Java).
In this video, my hands are controlling the visuals. For this, I use the Leap Motion sensor.
I use a Processing Library by onformative (a studio for generative design based in Berlin) called LeapMotionForProcessing to animate my visuals using Leap Motion.
The animation follows my hand movements in real-time and on key with accurate precision.
The visual is an animation within an animation with symmetry, which makes it a bit more challenging to control, making it even more fun.
Some of the visuals are generated by the music's decibel levels.
The main drive behind my work is PLAY. Play leads to fun, which leads to joy. Following our joy is the driving force in my life, and I want to share it with others. This is why I create interactive installations where people and children of different races and religions get to play and have loads of fun in a magical environment.
The VISUAL COMPOSER PERFORMANCE is a emotional piece with a dark track I made to expose the pain I feel everyday trying to survive in society. I perceive that the social system is set up by certain people to their benefit, while it is handicapping many others for whom it does not fit. I also see that many are unhappy with their jobs. Physicians and lawyers have high rates of suicide according to reports I have read. This is a time for us to question everything, and create a new social ecosystem that benefits all. Including the animals going instinct. I understand the Survival of The Fittest approach, but it does not have to be this way. I understand that nature is very violent and brutal, such as humans, but I also see a greater reality than this animalistic self-destroying one. It takes heart and courage to do what you love all day and all night all of the time forever. If you are willing to die for what you perceive as your purpose, then you are a Freedom Fighter… or simply, an Artist.

American pop duo Karmin features Amy Renee Heidemann and Nicholas Louis "Nick" Noonan.
Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan met while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston.
They are best known for their song "Brokenhearted," which reached the top 20 in the United States, and the top 10 in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and the song "Hello," which reached number 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart in the US., this concert took place just days before the release of the single "Acapella".
