The VIP stateroom in the bow has a good amount for storage as Princess has used the bow flare above the port lights for cabinets. Note the size of the hatch over the bed -- big enough for most anyone to be able to get through in an emergency.

This is the optional "Summer Kitchen" package which is designed for people planning to use their boat for a lot of entertaining. Below the Corian counter is an electric grill, below that a refrigerator.

The primary steering station is the lower helm, in the European tradition. American buyers used to piloting from the flying bridge will find that station adequate, but not as complete as this one. Viking Sport Cruisers installs two Furuno radar/chartplotters as standard here; a third is optional on the flying bridge. A Simrad VHF and Raymarine autopilot are standard, with a Furuno upgrade available. Windshield defoggers are also standard. We like the ship-style watertight door providing direct access to the sidedecks for the skipper.

The guest cabin to starboard has 6'6" (1.98 m) headroom. The upper bunk 6'6" x 30" and the lower is 6'6" x 24". (1.98 x .77 m and 1.98 x .62 m) These boats have good width given this size boat.

Viewed from the port side. The U-shaped settee is to starboard and the table is in cocktail mode in this picture. The stainless steel railing in the middle is for guests to brace their feet when heeling as well as for holding onto when moving around in a seaway.

We like the large, deep anchor locker. Note that the bottom of the locker is a conical design which helps keep the chain from tumbling around and becoming tangled. This is one of the best-designed chain anchor storage lockers we have ever seen.

Lots of windows and shiny white surfaces keep the saloon bright. There are two socializing areas: Aft, near the camera, and in the dinette, forward to port. We suspect the dinette will get more use, since it's near both the helm and the galley (behind the translucent screen to starboard). There is a bar here with an icemaker, refrigerator and dedicated wine refrigerator, too.

The All American 23 has a VEC SofRide hull which is both efficient and stable. She has a 16-degree deadrise at the transom which we think is a good compromise for a boat that will be used mostly on rivers and lakes.

The forward locker is surprisingly large and has enough room for a crewman to work untangling chain if required. We would recommend that a second anchor use line rather than chain (except for its first 15’ or so) to minimize confusion in the anchor locker.
