Jumping spiders are some of the most fascinating arachnids, with incredible vision, lightning-fast reflexes, and a curious personality that makes them perfect macro subjects. This Zebra Jumping Spider was darting around constantly, making it a challenging but rewarding subject to capture.

To ensure maximum detail and depth, I used photo bracketing and then stacked the images in Photoshop to achieve an extended depth of field. Final color grading and refinements were done in Lightroom to bring out the intricate textures and fine hairs on this tiny predator.

IN MY GARDEN

In 2019, shortly after taking this shot, I invested in a new macro lens for my camera, and hope to be able to get that perfect macro detailed shot of a bee.

I don't think this image is a perfect Macro photograph because you can't see a lot of detail of one object, however I think it does work well because the camera has focused on one object- the pink flowers.
