It has been a pleasure Cropping yesterdays image to suit Macro Mondays size constraints............A few delicious mouthfulls and a Perfect Macro for today, Bread Butter and Manuka Honey.

As I'm getting busier at work/home, the yearning for relaxation pushes me to pursue hobbies. Playing cajon has become one of my hobbies. It is similar to jazz drums. Yesterday, I went to a local music center, Ten Drum Cultural Center and found this lovely little drum key chain. I guess it would make a perfect Macro Monday subject for today's theme!

HMM!

And this is one of the tunes I'd play in my free time with cajon! ;-)

收聽一下我的木箱鼓練習曲 ;-) 周一愉快 ;-)

Monday, January 9: Member’s Choice: Inspired by a Song

This week´s theme where we get to share our favourite music, which is something very meaningful to me, I decided to pick Lady Gaga and Perfect Illusion. That song makes me in such a good mood but also creates room for a perfect macro shot, where you can imagine just about anything.

Here´s the link to the song.

Enjoy. HMM to everyone on this wonderful Monday! :-)

Macro Monday Theme: 7 Oct 19: In-A-Row

Three miniature sugar pumpkins [icing decorations] in a row. Image meets the maximum 3" size as per Macro Monday group guidelines.

I’ve arranged the mini pumpkins upon a maple leaf that I retrieved from my neighbour’s yard two weeks ago, wrapped in wax paper and placed inside a book until the perfect macro moment presented itself.

For those of you who are curious, the mini pumpkins, while sugary, are not particularly tasty in isolation… Of course, this did not stop me from eating several of them during the photo shoot ;)

I'm on the road for much of today and may not have wifi once I reach my final destination (fingers crossed!). Please understand if I take some time to respond to any comments. :)

Happy Macro Monday!

Male Swallowtail butterfly who has probably been around for at least a week or two judging from his damaged wing

Taken on the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures in East Anglia reaching 29 degrees.

Used my 300mm lens with an EF25 II extension tube to reduce the MFD. I find - at least for Swallowtails that 300mm is a perfect macro distance - you don't need to crowd the butterfly.

Taken in Norfolk.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!

Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate marbles at Macro Mondays. Another one of my photographic obsessions is back. Yes, I had a very long (and time consuming) obsession with macro marbles photography. I was sure it was over, few years ago but then this awesome theme is back ! And so is my obsession of taking the perfect macro picture of a marble and the beautiful and abstract universe inside of it. This time I used a yellow marble and I like how it turned out… However, as we all know, there is always Room for improvement … So, please, don’t be surprise if you see a few (or way too many !!) Macro pictures of marbles on this Photostream in a near future…. Have an amazing Monday and happy new week !

Mucho, mucho amor for you my friends !! Have a beautiful day !!!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !

One of leaves on the bush, not quite perfect ;)

Macro Mondays - theme: "Imperfect"

Who thinks flies aren't beautiful? Even from behind... I think it's Calliphora vicina. A perfect macro shot of it can be viewed in Lacerta Bilineata's fotostream.

God hears what is not spoken and understands what is not explained, for His love doesn't work in the lips or in the mind, but in the heart.

We have been having lots of wind here the last few weeks and I was trying to take some photos of a dandelion and I couldn't keep it still. I put it amongst a Grevillea in a sheltered part of the garden and here is the result. I love the delicate white amongst the red.

More shots of my `special' bees at St Cyrus Nature Reserve. I'm still not absolutely sure on the ID, except they are definitely leafcutters (Megachile) of some sort. The three in this image are all females, because you can clearly see the pollen brush (or `pollen nappy' as I call it :D) under their abdomen. There were quite a few, busily (buzzily? :D) nectaring on the bird's foot trefoil.

I have another close-up to upload later, of what I assume to be a male, but I'm still chasing that `perfect' macro :D

looks lik just waiting for me to take d snap..haha....actually the ant was busy having her food dats why its so picture perfect...got so much time to get it in focus....sorry for the over exposed leaf in the background had used external flash high end....

Mantis, Mentadak

" This head is crunchy, wanna some?"

This little guy is about 2cm long and is having dinner among the leaves of mango tree. Mantis or praying mantis feed mainly on other insects, and are found mostly in tropical or subtropical countries. Most mantises spend their time sitting still among foliage, or on the bark of the trees, waiting for insects to stray within reach of a lightning-quick snatch of their spined forelegs. Then they eat them alive, neatly and delicately..... always head first. They never take plant food.

Yes, I'm obsessed with these cute leafcutter bees that I discovered recently at St Cyrus Nature Reserve. I'm fairly sure this one is a male. He's so cute and fluffy, and I love his eyes.

I'm still hoping for a definite ID, if anyone can help. I know these are leafcutters (Megachile), but I'm not sure which species.

I'm still chasing that perfect macro (this isn't quite as sharp as I'd have liked, and I'm not straight-on to the bee, and a bit of burn-out on his legs.... a good excuse to go and try again though :D).

Nothing lasts.

Nothing is finished.

Nothing is perfect.

Macro Mondays theme Wabi-sabi.

In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi (侘寂) is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".

Hoping for a drier, rain-free weekend. It's just been raining here relentlessly all week. I finally picked-up my camera today. I was doing laundry (exciting) and I found the perfect macro subject.

Have a terrific weekend everyone!

Shamelessly Uploaded for macro Monday:) The theme is: This I Love. I love animals and hamsters are the perfect macro subject, especially for a 60mm, which is the only macro lens i own. So, i have hundreds of pics, a subject that never disappoints. HMM

This nice bug was found by my cousin. I captured this image in the Great Nemunas Loops regional park near the Nemunas river. The bug seemed very interesting for me because of black spot on its body, it looks like a money-box. ;)

Please have a view of full size... Thanks :)

Lots of Dragonflies around today mainly Common Darters, sympetrum striolatum . This shot was taken at Abney,Cheadle,Cheshire.

Common Darters are pretty laid back and spend a lot of time settled rising to chase prey or investigate other Darters .

Cool! Found a blue-colored damselfly this time.

This damselfly was shot with my Canon PowerShot SX1 IS with the Raynox DCR-250 lens attached.

That's how far I walked from my back door to get this shot. Ok, maybe 15. I'm terrible at distances.
