Red is a roundish man, alone in his 40s, the day-to-days of life clouding the future as he stops at red lights and tries to feel the textures of moments as they glow and skirt off his skin.
One day, he meets a girl, and this girl is nothing less than a drink of fresh sunshine as it pours in between the blinds past predawn; 7 AM and the morning dark roast is just about ready to slip into its tap shoes and tour along your veins.
And there's a moment, so suffused with color, cavernous, a song coursing in echoes along the edges of your senses, his senses, all senses -- and even hours later, a warmth resurfaces on his sleeve, half rolled up along his forearms, and flashes of her perfume create ideas like Miles Davis did.
Shift, his service dog, wags his tail softly and, right now, it's aflutter before it settles gently on the linoleum.

I reuploaded yesterdays picture but without the texture, and changed today's picture.
Why? Because I'm kinda loving my black and white dark work.

COLOUR: COGNITIVE BRAIN PREDICTION VERSUS VISUAL PERCEPTION/PHOTOGRAPHICAL DOCUMENTATION
The English neuropsychologist Chris Frith tells us that in our brain the “true” colour of a given object (=as reflected when the object is illuminated with white light) to such a degree is predicted by prior experience , that coloured light falling on the object will not disturb our actual perception of that true colour. If a (red) tomato is illuminated with blue light,” it can´t reflect any red light, so does it now look blue? No. We still perceive it as red”, he asserts in his book MAKING UP THE MIND. How the Brain Creates our Mental World. (Blackwell Publishing, Malden, Oxford and Carlton, 2007, p. 132). This assertion is wrong; or better: what it claims is only the case, when the person looking at the tomato is convinced in advance that the brain, not the eye, is telling the truth. Our eyes certainly do not see a tomato as being red in blue light. To them it will appear brown in pale blue light and black in deep blue light. What they see is (almost) identical with the eye-like evidence of photography shown in my little photo experiment here.
Rummaging thru a box and came across my old Performance Car magazine collection, stretching from 1994, through to 2000 when it amalgamated with "Car" magazine. These here are from 95, 96 and 97.

If the doors of perception where cleansed, then everything would appear to man as is, infinite.

This postcard was created for a FotoFest exhibition titled Mechanical Perception featuring photographic work by Mei-Mei Dillard, Eileen Maxson, Brian Piana, Soody Sharifi and Anderson Wrangle. These artists are also alumni from the University of Houston Photo/Digital Media program hence the lineup for this show. Mechanical Perception exhibition runs from September 5 – October 12, 2008 at the FotoFest Headquarters.
In addition to a postcard for the event, I also had to screenprint a poster that would be sold and distributed at the show through FotoFest. This was one of my first poster outside the usual Nameless Sound or rock music poster; this being one for a local art space. This was also the first poster that I created my new studio space, Box 13 ArtSpace.
This is the print sheet just hours returning from a press check Simon Printing where these postcards were being printed. This is the final product that I approved just before the entire job is run and then trimmed.
Spent a few hours out with Brad from BJ310S Photography around Susan Gilmour Beach. Was having a ball with my 50mm prime f1.4 Sigma lens on a few random rocks.

perceptions, feelings, issues, needs, desires, fears, paranoia, irresolution, and again and again and again, live gliding in a Moebius strip, with no way out, every time, repeatedly!
“strane percezioni”
percezioni, sensazioni, questioni, necessità, desideri, paure, paranoie, irrisolutezza, e ancora, e ancora e ancora, vivere la vita veleggiando sul nastro di moebius, senza via di d’uscita, ogni volta, ripetutamente!
