Is this reservoir half empty, or...
Ladybower Reservoir summer 2018. I had planned to photograph the sink holes but after such a long dry summer they were standing a metre or so above the water level, I had to be content with some general views...no wind at all also meant an LE wouldn't do too much...ah well...
Created for and inspired by jOe Vance aka oliver.odd in appreciation for his assistance admining "The Hypothetical Awards and associated groups"
jOe besides defying gravity, has been in the really secret service, a galactic explorer extraordinaire, a swashbuckling cape wearing chick magnet and has been known to be a danger to low flying aircraft from time to time.
In his spare time jOe profusely creates some of the most amazing eclectic art imaginable.
Mirror images abound combined with pointillism, melded geometrized abstractions, animals birds, and other species that Darwin could not have envisaged plus the odd trip to places totally of the map.
But wait there's more, but I suggest you take a look at jOe's amazing stream yourself ... word of warning though "you will never see things the same again"

This piece is inspired by the following quotation found on Mel's profile page...

"There are things known and things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception"--- Aldous Huxley
There is a big difference between whether something is like that or whether you think something is like that. Much in our life is our own perception.
Depth perception is the ability to see the world in three dimensions and to perceive distance. Although this ability may seem simple, depth perception is remarkable when you consider that the images projected on each retina are two-dimensional.
