A year after I uploaded these shots, I learned how to do this photographic technique from the multiplicity group. I remembered that for these pictures of the boys I'd taken multiple shots in succession. The photos of this particular guy worked just perfect for the technique. i just had to draw in a few of the cables.
Thank goodness flickr gave us the "replace" option awhile back.

The propane jets the propel the pictured pendulum. They felt quite toasty while laying on the asphalt under the rig.
Was in a Temple in Chantaburi over the weekend that has become an informal pendulum clock museum with a dozen donated clocks in good working order. Wonderful place.
Pendular artwork in the Portland conference center. It was difficult to photograph as it was moving at a constant clip. I am in the photo just above the blue circle within the globe.

She is surrounded by media; in fact she is covered in it. She doesn’t realize how much it affects her. Media is everything that influences society. The communication that is pushed against her is absorbed by her mind. The lamp symbolizes the hope that she can be free, and that liberty is within reach. When she breaks free from all that encompasses her, she is no longer held down.
This dress took me 15 months to make. Its completely made of telephone books and magazines for added strength. Its safe to say this project and I have had a love hate relationship. Ill be entering it into a scholarship contest soon. Im not sure it was really worth all my effort.

Abandoned Chilean Pedro Aguirre Cerda Station covered in Volcanic Ash, Pendulum Cove, Deception Island, South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. We chose to explore. January 1998.
It’s broken.
Deception Island is an active volcano caldera in the South Shetland Islands off the Antarctic Peninsula. The caldera opens though a narrow gap into the cold waters of Antarctica, but inside, the waters are warm enough for a comfortable swim, or bath.
