I raced across the full length of the playa on my to get this picture, they turned off the pendulum just after the shutter clicked. Score.
Designed to send a pulse of current into a solenoid wound coil when activated by a magnet passing over a Hall sensor.
The input (activation pulse) includes a short delay before the output is triggered. This is a to operate a free swinging pendulum for a clock.
This is a modification of other online circuits, will run a pendulum for a long time on a 3 cell NiMH pack.

This is a Foucault pendulum in the Pantheon in Paris. Although there are many bodies interred in the crypt, Foucault is buried in Cimetière de Montmartre.

Somewhat pre-occupied with finishing exams on this day to really go anywhere for a pic. This thing's kinda cool, though. A giant pendulum in the Chemistry building at my uni. Its movement demonstrates the rotation of the Earth (look up Foucault pendulum in wikipedia for more info). It surely should be the physics department which has this, though, I've no idea what the thing has to do with chemistry.

Inside the world's largest cuckoo clock: the internal pendulum. Much smaller clocks hang on the walls, and the weights can be seen through the window.
Future is a Mistery. From the beginning of Times man tried to scan his future in several ways.
Tarots, Pendulums, Sibyl and many other ways.
Personally I prefer Tarots, they are loyal companions to me, but recently I've found that also pendulum is a useful and exact friend to ask to.
This board is conceived for pendulums only. It is handpainted with atoxic metallic colors by original design on natural wood. The diameter of the tablet is 25 cm.
It is possible to realize custom design.
Pendulum "The Unseen Impact" is the theme for our first TEDxDamanhur event for 2016. This year we decided to choose topics about the backstage process which nobody knows about it, but everyone knows the final stage thinking it's easy to reach this stage. Hope you enjoy our photos.

No matter how many times I visit the Indiana State Museum, I'm always captivated by Foucault's Pendulum. It's austere and visually striking, it's great big planetary science, and it's a physical expression of time. That's a whole lot of stuff that I like and that interests me. And this is my first self-portrait, too, because if you look closely, that's me reflected in the highlight on the pendulum itself. Is there some sort of deep, philosophical message about a self-portrait captured on the swinging pendulum of time, or is it really just a happy coincidence? ^_^
The Foucault pendulum display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. As it swings back and forth, the Earth rotates under it, bringing the steel posts into contact with the steel ball. There's always a crowd, but I've never seen one get knocked over!
Not to sound like an old person, but when I was a kid this display was in one of the stairwells, and it knocked over these little metal things that looked like Parcheesi playing pieces. Not these fancy stainless steel hinged things! (shakes cane angrily)
