Who doesn't love a good Pegboard? Grab one at the newest round of Gacha Garden!

Gacha Garden opens on the 1st of November - maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gimme%20Gacha%20Production...

We're here being copycats to say happy birthday to Ruth!

This is a copy of Ruth's Two Red Peppers and a Duck which in turn was a copy/tribute to Xavier's Three Yellow Peppers so I think this counts as a copycat for me :-)

Happy birthday Ruth!

it's amazing what white paint, lighting and some peg board can do.

When I saw Xavier's wonderful image (see in first comment) today, I knew what I must do.

Some of you might remember that people tried to smoke banana peels to get high back in the 70s. Here's a story about the early promotion of banana joints:

In 1967, Country Joe McDonald, lead singer of Country Joe & the Fish, found a large banana previously used as part of decoration of a parade float. The band strapped the banana to a car and drove around the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco to promote their band.

During this afternoon, the band announced from a bull horn that smoking banana peels would induce a hallucinogenic response. Country Joe & the Fish also passed out banana peel joints to audience members at concerts.

The We're Here! gang is visiting the Colour of Money group today.

A green house/garden shed allegedly not needing repair. The inside walls were covered with Masonite pegboard that looked old and, as Masonite gets after a few years, ready to come apart. Tearing down the wall revealed a nasty surprise. Whoever worked on repairing the shed did achieve one goal. They got rid of the termites. But did they replace the ruined studding? They sistered short lengths of 2X4s to the bottoms of the otherwise useless studs, closed it up and called it a day. Probably got paid too.

The We're Here! gang is visiting the "All Shades of Blue" group today. I thought I'd also sneak into The X Spot, where we copycat our wonderful Xavier (see his photo in comments).

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence. - Ansel Adams

Here's a picture from this morning. The sign has been removed, and it appears the cleanout has been finished. I imagine it will not be too long before construction starts and I finally figure out whether it is Home Depot or Lowe's that bought the lease.

Funny story: There were some dumpsters along the side of the store. I found somebody that looked like a hobo inside one of the dumpsters. As it usually does in potentially dangerous situations, my mind blanked out and I decided to talk to him.

"Finding anything good?"

"Oh heh- didn't see ya there. Caught me red handed"

"Oh, no, I'm just snooping around, too. Is there anything good in there?"

"Nah, just a couple wires and cords. I can probably get a few bucks for these"

"Oh... Good luck. I'm gonna go now"

As I get into my car, I see him loading an armful of wires into the back of a horribly decrepit 1995 Honda station wagon. From what I could see, the dumpster was mainly filled with old trash cans (none with the Kmart logo, though), and some pegboard from the shelving.

Doll display is an Ikea pegboard attached to the top of a low set of shelves. The bunk bed set is made for 18" dolls and is a bit large. The squishmallos are the 2inch mini size and scale to 1/4 size dolls rather well.

I went back over my X Spot images today to see what I should do for this year's birthday greeting. Couldn't believe there were so many! LOL So I thought I would bundle them together and present them as a package as I wish the X Couple a very happy birthday!

Decided to try and take inspiration from some other folk here. Not sure I did it right but hey the funs working it out :-)

I've always been a tool girl. My dad always encouraged me to use his when I was a kid so I ended up making, fixing (and sometimes breaking) lots if stuff.

Here's a pic of my craft room closet. I've worked really hard to organize it to make the most of the space, it's only 10x12ft! The pegboard is a great option, because it's modular. Whenever I change my mind, I can change the storage system to fit!

This interesting artifact on display at Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is a dispatcher's pegboard from the Harmony Route interurban. The line had no automatic signals, the dispatcher used this board to keep track of car locations.

I recently painted my pegboard and I love the difference it made!

Snow globes and plush toys long gone, all you find inside the souvenir shop at the abandoned Rock-A-Hoola Waterpark in the Mojave Desert of Southern California these days are a few toppled fixtures and walls covered in slotted pegboard.
