The holes in this cabinet aren't lined up properly so we can't install shelves for now. I'm thinking of maybe putting pegboard along the back and using this for hanging storage. All plans for this space are still up in the air.
Under the Dome science classroom. Hammers, chisels, saws, pry bars, hatchet, hack saw, roll of wire. On pegboard hangers.
yarn organization beats yarn storage with this peg board yarn wall. read about it at knitsforlife.com/2013/03/26/the-worlds-best-yarn-storage-...
I'm (again) trying to clean off the top of my workbench before I build my next frameset.
If I can get it cleaned up before the tide comes back in I'm going to put a shelf across the back of the thing and replace the pegboard with a plywood sheet that I can hang tools from.
This is a sprite from "Barbie and the magic of Pegasus" for GBA.
It is 14.5" wide by 12.25" tall. It used 2,542 beads and 9 pegboards.
It is made with Perler/Hama/Nabbi fuse beads.
I made it on August 13, 2010.
Peg board painted green and attached to wall contains my most-used supplies and some hidden plushie treasures. Sewing machine is an Elna 3210.
This weekend, we started settling into our new art studio and bringing it to life, with the help of our maker art friends. Sarah moved boxes with art supplies, Mark helped set up the pegboards, Howard filled them with tools, Natalina decorated the shed, Jean set up an art bench and Phyllis treated us to fresh fruit.
It felt like an old-fashioned community barn raising! I am very lucky to have such a supportive group of friends, and am really grateful for all their hard work and creative touches.
Our new backyard makerspace is a wooden 12’ x 10’ Tuff Shed, made to order, opening into our patio. It will be a great place to make art with friends, prepare for my classes and work on new ‘pataphysical projects.
I’m so happy to finally have an open space to create in, after decades of clutter in my overcrowded office. Can’t wait to start making cool things in it!

Placing LEDs in the pegboard. (This took a long, long time.) the cutout in the near end of the pegboard is to accomodate one of the power supplies. The cross-braces are 1x1 wooden strips, and prevent the pegboard from bending under its own weight. Because the photodiodes stick up above the table top (down, here), the table is supported a few inches above another table by some cans (cans of corn, mostly).
You can see the hot glue gun and multimeter, but the soldering iron is hidden below the table top.

About the bead sprite:
1,118 Beads
I thought I remember the leafy bits of this Pokemon being green, but the sprite showed them as warm, autumn-y tones. I tried my best to capture the 4 different shades of orange, but it was still a bit early on. You may notice a seam down the middle, that's where my pegboards met. Because I was ironing on them, the boards were getting warped. I ordered new boards eventually and stopped ironing on them all together.
What my Fiancée calls this Pokemon:
Rabid Onion
Facts & Trivia:
The fluid that oozes from its mouth is a honey-like nectar Gloom uses to attract prey. Gloom is characterized as being able to release an incredibly foul stench from the pistils and pollen of its flower. When faced with danger, the stench worsens. If Gloom is feeling calm and secure, however, it does not release its usual stinky aroma. Gloom is the only dual-type Pokémon that can evolve into a single-type Pokémon.
It is also the only Pokémon to evolve into two different Pokémon with two different stones, other than Eevee. The Female Gloom have fewer, but larger spots on their flower.

With all the red already in the store, all Target had to do was put up some green pegboard on the wall, and voila! Instant Christmas! The shade of green does seem a bit retro. Walmart and Kmart are using old school Christmas color shades this year also, and of course I got some example pictures of both of those places as well!

Getting organized is hard, expensive work. I managed to spend the whole weekend buying and organizing, but it was well worth it. I'll show details later, but here's what I've got so far. I love it.
