Harley Cat tries out the table. The glass top is present but the opaque coating has not yet been added. Below the glass top are the sixteen nodes of the circuit, each with the photodiode (in an LED-type T 1 3/4 package) sticking up close to the glass. The circuit nodes sit on top of the pegboard that holds the LEDs. In the far corner of the table is one of the two power supplies.

This weekend, we started settling into our new art studio and bringing it to life, with the help of our maker art friends. Sarah moved boxes with art supplies, Mark helped set up the pegboards, Howard filled them with tools, Natalina decorated the shed, Jean set up an art bench and Phyllis treated us to fresh fruit.
It felt like an old-fashioned community barn raising! I am very lucky to have such a supportive group of friends, and am really grateful for all their hard work and creative touches.
Our new backyard makerspace is a wooden 12’ x 10’ Tuff Shed, made to order, opening into our patio. It will be a great place to make art with friends, prepare for my classes and work on new ‘pataphysical projects.
I’m so happy to finally have an open space to create in, after decades of clutter in my overcrowded office. Can’t wait to start making cool things in it!

It’s nearly February in 2019, but r/EDM on Reddit is just now revealing the results of their Best of 2018 voting. Right off the bat, we have to note that the subreddit boasts nearly 440,000 subscribers, and yet the most votes in any single category was 405 for future bass. That is 0.09% of the total subreddit population.
Now, let’s move on to the results. The top two comments on the thread right now are referencing the EDM circlejerk and unwanted results — well, of course! No one voted! The results of the survey skew heavily toward the main stream, not that that’s particularly unexpected, either.
Winner of best artist for big room house? Martin Garrix, no surprise there. Dance Pop? The Chainsmokers, check. Future bass? Illenium, of course. Future house? Don Diablo, who didn’t see that coming. Although, props are due to Nora En Pure for winning best artist for tropical house & commercial deep house.
It also seems that the results could have been skewed by a large influx of Monstercat fans — just look at the drum & bass and electro house categories.
All this being said, another huge congrats is due to 1788-L for nearly sweeping the midtempo bass category after only a year of being active. The only categories he missed out on went to Rezz, for best album/EP and best mix. 1788-L also won best breakout artist overall.
Curiously absent anywhere on the list? Marshmello.

Wingnut to secure the board to the pegboard. More details and useful links @ www.willtoknow.com/workstation
This is a sprite from "Beyond Oasis" for Genesis.
It is 15" wide by 16" tall. It used 4,011 beads and 9 pegboards.
It is made with Perler/Hama/Nabbi fuse beads.
I made it on August 9, 2010.
Notes:
Of those 4,011 beads 2,693 are black.
The holes in this cabinet aren't lined up properly so we can't install shelves for now. I'm thinking of maybe putting pegboard along the back and using this for hanging storage. All plans for this space are still up in the air.
Under the Dome science classroom. Hammers, chisels, saws, pry bars, hatchet, hack saw, roll of wire. On pegboard hangers.
yarn organization beats yarn storage with this peg board yarn wall. read about it at knitsforlife.com/2013/03/26/the-worlds-best-yarn-storage-...
I'm (again) trying to clean off the top of my workbench before I build my next frameset.
If I can get it cleaned up before the tide comes back in I'm going to put a shelf across the back of the thing and replace the pegboard with a plywood sheet that I can hang tools from.
This is a sprite from "Barbie and the magic of Pegasus" for GBA.
