A silhouette of a pegion on the roof of a building at sunset. Bangladesh. April 11, 2007.

I have an old battered guitar I play for my own amusement that I bought in a junk shop for a tenner. It's getting harder and harder to tune because some of the pegs are bent, and very hard to turn the pegs. The cogs look a little rusty. Is it sensible to lubricate the cogs or will they end up so easy to turn that they can't hold tune?

USED ONCE ONLY. going at $150 but PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE FOR SINCERE BUYERS

I'm not happy how the old holes are aligned.

The tapers didn't agree with my tool. The pegs are

functional but look cockeyed. Rebushing

the peg holes will be a little job to do in the future.

It's been raining outside so I've been taking photographs inside under tungsten light. I found myself in the kitchen raiding the peg basket for photo opportunities.
