This is Happisburgh lighthouse from a different angle. I actually prefer this one to the shot I used for my daily pic/weekly challenge. My husband chose the other one and I wasn't going to post this one but have changed my mind now.
Still catching up.
Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) male/juvenile
I got my first decent look at one Tawny chick this morning. You can just see it peeking out from under Dad's wing. I have put a note.

Dusky Woodswallow (Artamus cyanopterus)
From a visit to Cranbourne Botanic Gardens on this day in 2018.
The last of the three quick captures I was able to snap before the clouds took completely over. Capturing the moon with the clouds around it and getting the exposure with the highlights right at the limit allows for this single exposure to be pretty close to what the eye sees.
I also heard something go bump in the darkness once the clouds covered the moon ... and figured best to get back inside. You never know what is lurking out there under the Full Moon ;)

One from three years ago this week at the St. Kilda Pier/Breakwater.
Have I said how much I like the eye detect in the R5?
Really not a good shot, just showing how fun it is shooting birds I would never get before.
I often wonder how many eyes are watching me when I'm sitting on a meadow. Most of these eyes are very well hidden but I noticed these lovely blue ones looking at me from behind a blade of grass. They belonged to a white-legged damselfly (also called blue featherleg), one of the most common damselflies around here.
A Downy Woodpecker peeking around a branch looking for more of the Giant Bark Aphids that it was eating at Huntley Meadows Park in Alexandria, VA on 11/7/22.
