Looking at a portion of Peyto Lake thru a boulder portal. I wanted a different perspective from the common one. I was pleased to find this viewpoint. A few more below.

this shot was taken this summer in disneyland he was driving me crazy so i locked him out in the balcony for a few mins, untill he gave me this cuteee lil'innocent look! :P

Mashallah
One of many cows that had escaped from their fenced area. They were wandering along the road for a mile or so from where they belong. They were loose in the area for half the week I was in the area.
There were some young calves among them and I know there is a good black bear population in this area as well with many sightings from Bird Photographers. I hope the farmer was able to round them up and no bears tried to attack the calves after I left.

As this American wigeon came in for a landing, his spreading wing feathers afforded a brief look at his eye. Taken at Commonwealth Lake.

Goblin Valley State Park, Utah
Goblin Valley includes an area where soft sandstone has eroded into interesting shapes, somewhat resembling goblins. In some spots the rock formations are close together and produce a maze-like playground ideal for family explorations.
Many people think the park landscape has a surreal appearance. A Hollywood movie, Galaxy Quest, was filmed at Goblin Valley State Park because of its unearthly scenery.
An osprey lifts off from the water with its catch.
I found this quite a tricky image to capture and process. While photographing ospreys over two days I only had two chances to capture this wing clap shot with the osprey flying directly towards the camera. The fine spray coming up in front of the bird's face and wings, which I have tried to tone down in processing, also means that the shot is not as sharp and clear on the wings as I would like.

This Northern Saw-whet Owl was one hard bird to find and get a shot. Way back in the thicket and lucky to have a little hole to shoot through. John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, Phila. PA.

I was so incredibly fortunate to see a pair of Northern Pygmy Owls yesterday. First one and then a second one appeared and flew into this tiny nest hole.
A male Downy Woodpecker was hiding from the other birds at the suet feeder.
I was inside my blind for this shot.

Green Tree Python (Morelia Viridis) taken with a Sigma 50-500mm mounted to a gimbal head.
Peek a Boo Slot Canyon at the Grand Staircase National Monument, one of the many scenic highlights you can experience as a hiker in the Hole in the Rock Road area near Escalante, Utah.
In the late morning you have here indirect light, which brings the otherwise brownish canyon walls to light.

Common Blackbird (Turdus merula)
I have been hearing a lot of fuss in our large Pine Tree, which is near the corner that my desk is in. This morning I took the camera out to investigate. The Red Wattlebirds are busy building a nest, the New Holland Honeyeaters are looking at the Pine Tree but will probably end up in the Pittosporum Tree. Mrs. Blackbird seems quite keen on this spot in the Pine but Mr is encouraging her to consider the Lilly Pilly Tree. Time will tell.
