In March 1987 I spent a day touring a number of bus and coach operators based in the Berks, Bucks, Oxon and Wilts area.
Seen in its home town was Pearce of Berinsfield KHB18W, a former Bebb of Llantwit Fadre Ford R1114 / Duple Dominant III C53F.

Pearces Private Hire of Berinsfield, Oxfordshire, was established in 1970. The family-run firm has regularly invested in new coaches and has a simple but easily recognisable livery using a distinctive shade of yellow and brown. In early 2025 the operator was acquired by Go-Ahead who already own Oxford Bus and more recently Pulham's Travel.
In May 2025, shortly after the takeover, a pair of Temsa HD13 C57FLT coaches arrived (OU25 & OX25BUS - initially as YJ25CSO/U). In late May, the opportunity was taken to take OX25BUS for a mini photoshoot in and around Oxford.

Imogen Cunningam, Dorothea Lange, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Carrie Mae Weems, Elsa Dorfman, and Cindy Sherman.
After looking at some of the photographers work I liked some of their work; like Imogen Cunningham who photographed some flowers, and dolls.
Then there is photographers in the book who I wasn't too fond of because of the photos about children and the lives they had to deal with back in the day.

It's probably pretty obvious that this sign's a joke. I reached that conclusion not long after considering the following:
The New Orleans PD is about 1400 miles from here, and most likely wouldn't respond to calls from rural Arizona, if a call from here could even be made (doubtful).
Fortunately for me, I'm in a ghost town, and the odds are that pickpockets aren't a problem.

A "war" of sorts went on between the years 1865 and 1870 in which the Ute Tribe (and other Native American allies) attempted to drive the Mormons from the Ute traditional homelands. Mounted Ute raiding parties, often joined by Navajos, attacked ranches and settlements and killed settlers who interfered with the raids.
This fort was built as a sentry post, its purpose to attack and delay the Indians while a rider raced to the settlements with a warning.
