One of the most incredible sunsets i`ve ever seen, the photo doesn`t do it justice.

downtown - Los Angeles, CA

My 15 year old son on Galveston Island's East Beach sand dunes on a blue sky day.

If you look at this at the larger sizes, you'll see his expression - which is worth the look.....

Taken from the same position where I photographed the Kew Railway Bridge but looking in the opposite direction.

I was packing up for the day when I noticed the color of the sky behind me; I wasn't wearing shoes suitable for walking on the Thames bed so I took this from where I was standing.

The tall buildings are high rise flats in Brentford; the bridge in the foreground is the Kew Bridge.

I am not sure what the pillar to the right is but I shall update this caption when I find out.

Update: Many thanks to Barbara Rich and Crouching Badger for identifying the structure to the right; it is the Kew Bridge Pumping Station which belongs to the Kew Bridge Steam Museum and was used to pump water to London.

Best viewed LARGE.... (if you like cows and church...)

Arduix is a small Pyrenean village, lost up in the mountains...these villages are very, very old, and were build at remote places to protect themselves from the outlanders....

I am glad at how this one turned out because it was a very dark scene and I had a hard time getting autofocus to work in time for a train to pass by.

This is a 319 second exposure but this time, I had no hot pixels.

Sadly, the placement of the boats has been slightly affected because I had to straighten the horizon in post-processing.

(In retrospect, I should probably have used a lower viewpoint in order to exagerrate the size of the boats)

From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kew_Railway_Bridge :

Kew Railway Bridge spans the River Thames between Kew and Gunnersbury.

Built in 1869 by the London and South Western Railway, the bridge is now owned by Network Rail and used by North London Line passenger trains running between Richmond and North Woolwich. The same tracks are also used by London Underground's District Line trains running between Richmond and Central London.

In The Dalek Invasion of Earth, an episode of the BBC's Doctor Who, the TARDIS materializes under the Kew Railway Bridge, where it is subsequently trapped when the bridge collapses.

I think this flower has a look of a Star.

The lighting is direct overhead lighting of 12 noon. I didnt know that harsh light can help me create such a beautiful shot!

While sitting on the chair facing the Potomac River at Mount Vernon, I capture this little girl with my camera by chance. I think she absolute enjoys this Spring..

Nature paints the pictures and we're just lucky enough to be there to press the shutter button.....

And storm clouds gathering in Hardy country: Marnhull in Dorset's Blackmore Vale. I should probably have cropped that power line...

Taken at Orient Beach on the beautiful island of St. Martin. This was the bluest water I have ever seen and the water was so warm and inviting - wish I was there right now:)

This is one of the first photos we took with our Canon EOS 350D, a few days after buying it last summer. I found it yesterday when I was searching for something else in our photo-DVDs and it cheered my up :) Here it's always raining and it gets so depressing!!

Grand Teton National Park, August 2006

Morning fog obscured the mountains during sunrise. Oxbow Bend seemed to be the only place in the park free of the incredibly thick fog.

View this large to see the two American white pelicans that were swimming in Oxbow Bend. Another bird was also in flight near the center of this photo. You'll probably need to view the original size to see it.

I went out this evening expecting a spectacular sunset and it was all a little disappointing and colourless, I took these 3 instead hope you enjoy

Looks pretty decent large

Going through some of my older photos this weekend, I stumbled upon this image taken while I was in St. Lucia in January. I kind of liked the tiny sailboat making its way across the water despite the menacing clouds:)

Unfortunately, there wasn't much I could do about the hazy weather while I was there
