I do believe it was this very meal that gave me food poisoning and left me in bed for 3 days of my 7 day Italian experience. :(
This is the centerpiece of the memorial, a vase of flowers above a tomb of an unknown deportee, with lights on the walls representing the deportees who died.
Gary Spizzirri in concert on Sunday. Can't wait to go to his next show in August.
Want to see more of him? www.garyspizzirri.com
Looks to me like this Daddy was messing with somebody who fought back!
But you guys don't have to worry about him.....he's a little beat up but still seems to be fine. I see him a lot....he has no fear to take things on he came charging across the pond to take on a German Shepherd!
And I'm pretty sure he was protecting his babes....which I haven't seen yet, because his lady is on the island in the middle of the pond, but I'm sure I'll see them soon
Centennial Lake

I watched these poor guys for a while. This was obviously their first time out in a canoe--they kept going around in circles in the middle of the lake, but seemed to be having fun, anyway. They were fun to watch.
I took this photo about 1 year ago in Switzerland. A small train station and a stormy sky are shown in the picture. The snow is about 3 cm high and some human and animal footprints are visible.

Crispy would like to say thank you to Reggie's Friends and I'm Not a Monster, two organizations that advocate for pit bulls and animal shelters, for the wonderful donation of toys, collars, blankets and other goodies for the pets at our shelter. They collected donations during their Monster Elf Drive in December and our dogs are now keeping warm with their new blankets. Thank you to these great organizations for your support and for all that you do!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
A project I've started as part of a New Years resolution to "Pay it Forward".
I wanted to take some nice, proper portraits of "Local Heroes". People who serve the community and probably don't get as much recognition as they should.
Firefighters back home are a big part of the community, and while they may not shout it from the rooftops like some of our American neighbours, I like to think that the public do the shouting for them.
So these are the shots from the Blue Watch of Preston Park Firehall. What started out as a bunch of guys not being to sure about having their picture (or mug shot) taken, ended up being an afternoon of laughs and stories.
Most of them had never had their picture taken outside of the odd party or "mug shot" for the department. By the end of it all, they'd asked me to come back to take portraits of the other three watches, including a nice one of a fellow who's retiring this year.
I've got to stress, this was purely for the love of it, and the desire to give back something to the people in the community who give to us on a daily basis.
Mark 4
21 Then Jesus said to them, “You don’t take a lamp and hide it under a bowl or a bed, do you? Of course not. You put it on a lampstand. 22 Everything that is hidden will be made clear. Every secret thing will be made known. 23 You people who hear me, listen! 24 Think carefully about what ...
Cherry Lane Realty owner/broker, Charlotte Bergdoll donated first and last month's rent to former Shelter residents as her "good deed of the week" she was inspired to do by Armand. Bergdoll noted that her pastor had been speaking on a similar topic in church this past Sunday so she was ready to "let God lead."
On Main St. Tilton NH there is an old railway shed and lots of vintage rail cars including this railcar with plow for keeping the tracks clear of winter snow! You can rent the hall for occasions and they run the train occasionally for special holidays, etc.
I caught up with Dan Laidlow aka Original Sin Photogaphry, for him to photograph me for the PIP Pay it Forward project.
I took the opportunity to grab a few snaps of Dan using th 85mm f1.8.
Just about the limit of my dangerous living - a great big pot of poisonous flowers on the dining table.
I was right on the Main St. and in someone's front yard but these straight tall cedar trees enveloped me in years of unmolested growth from an earlier time!
"Pay It Backward" involves random strangers meeting up at Second Cup in Toronto and purchasing a coffee for the person behind them. That person then does the same for the next person in line. 100% of the profits will go to charity.
"Monster" Elf Jagger reporting for delivery! He got all his donations onto his sleigh for the pups at Adore Houston. While he was on his way, he checked his mailbox and guess what? MORE DONATIONS!!

Thanks to those of you who took me up on guessing where this was taken and why. Many of you got the right location but noone guessed it was because our newlywed son and daughter-in-law needed light for their new apartment living room and "now they can read there at night" :>)
