Rules of Composition
- The picture clearly outlines a pattern with repeated shapes of stones on the surface of the ground underwater. This repeated shapes (pattern) helps to create texture and visual interest as it captures the viewers' thought of it being a wall with the pattern of stones but is actually the pattern of the ground surface underwater.
Why is this a good picture
- This picture is a pattern of the ground surface underwater but it is captured with no reflection from the water making it seems like a wall of stone pattern. The ray of light highlights the pattern of the ground as it continuously fade when it goes from the middle towards the other two ends of the picture, creating a better lighting and contrast. This is a good picture of a pattern because it does not only repeat its shape but with different sizes and arrangement, making it to be more interesting.
How to improve this picture
- This picture can be improved by taking it from a different angle to create a better visual of the pattern and it might make it more interesting.
