You can recognize their origin by looking at the pattern. If you concentrate on it a while, it gets more and more interesting.

This is the roof of the Seattle central library.

I used a macro lens with the focal lens of 100mm in order to obtain a closer and more detailed pattern. I use a relative small ISO to reduce noises.

I processed this photo with Lightroom. I increased the color saturation and contrast to trying to compensate for the effect of white light reflection.

A cool pattern on a tree

Found this old pattern when sorting my sewing stuff. It is dated 1944 so it was probably one of Mom's early patterns or Grandma's.

Every surface of the Palace of the Nazaries is covered with the most intricate carved patterns. Indescribably beautiful.

for Shari. 6024x4750 @ 200dpi (23.75H x 30W)

this is a pattern I drafted off an existing pair of leggins, to share with the folks on craftster. but you got to make sure you use stretchy anough fabric!! i tried it with some teeshirty stuff and couldnt get them over my thighs. i think they will have to become some sort of tracky-pants for a little kid.

radiation pattern of the xray tube. i just put a film in front of my radiator as close as possible. clearly there is more radiation than i use or need. the anode at the top makes the shadow, also the focussing cylinder of the cathode. we can also see a bit of the filament. the 4 white warped things around the middle are simply screws in the barrel wall that allow me to attach a filter.

im going to take more shots of all around the radiator, see if there is hard radiation to the back, etc.

Looking for patterns in the kitchen and when making lunch (banana pancake with fresh fruit and low-fat quark) I realised there are patterns everywhere.

Vintage sewing patterns up for swap -- 50s-70s -- a little too small for me -- about 80 ladies' patterns altogether, size 16 (pattern size, not modern size) = bust 36-38, waist 28-30, hips 38-40

UPDATE: Swapped! Thanks everyone.

The theme for this photo is pattern. This was a photo of some creaming soda cans sitting on the ground. I have enhanced the pattern by changing the colour of the tips to suit which way they are facing.
