Patrick Nasmyth (1787-1831) - Edinburgh from the Braids

Happy Paddy's Day. Here's one from the top of Croagh Patrick. Thought I'd share a shot for the day that's in it. It's from a while back but it was the most perfect conditions I've ever done the climb in. I love the depth and the shadows from the clouds.

Please contact me for information about publication. Don't post this on your blog without asking.

He isn,t a Wrestler, Boxer, Fighter, Skinhead, Gangster or what ever people like to see. All his Tattoos are telling his life. One day he told us a story who happened in the metro with a little girl and her mother. The girl said:" Mum, he is looking strange". The mother answered: "We don,t talk to him, he is a Nazi". Patrick was coming over to the little girl and said:" Your mum is wrong, should i tell you the truth ? I have cancer, thats the reason about my skinhead"

;-)

I think I captured the essential Patrick here. We had such a blast together.

Unusually, St Patrick's is not the seat of a bishop, as the Archbishop of Dublin has his seat in Christ Church Cathedral. Since 1870, the church has designated St Patrick's as the national cathedral for the whole of Ireland, drawing chapter members from each of the twelve dioceses of the Church of Ireland. The dean is the ordinary for the cathedral; this office has existed since 1219. The most famous office holder was Jonathan Swift.

Patrick's official portrait for 2018

Some extended 15 stair with a wierd kink at the end of it. I took around 4 different angles of this. This was the one he actually landed. I have a more head on angle but there was a wall at the top of the rail which created some nasty shadow of him.

I'm trying to be less picky about what I upload to here so there's more stuff on here so if it seems like some photos on here suck that's why. haha

“O God, who chose the Bishop Saint Patrick to preach your glory to the peoples of Ireland, grant, through his merits and intercession, that those who glory in the name of Christian may never cease to proclaim your wondrous deeds to all. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.”

Patrick Geddes (1854-1932) was a man of diverse interests and talents. Today he is probably best known as a town planner, but he has also been described as a biologist, sociologist, conservationist, educationist, and ecologist.

He did much to improve the living conditions in his local environment, but he was also a figure of international importance who travelled widely and who corresponded with key thinkers and writers of the time such as Charles Darwin and Mahatma Gandhi.

Geddes became a demonstrator in practical physiology at University College London, and in 1879 he travelled to Mexico to collect biological specimens. Whilst there, he suffered temporary blindness and this left him with permanently weakened eyesight. It was during this period that he discovered his ‘thinking machines’ – a visual method of presenting and connecting facts and ideas to aid thought.

A picture of my dear friend Patrick. I've known Patrick for nearly 10 years now, and he is one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever met. Unfortunately, some people tend to take advantage of Patrick's easy going, good nature....so annoying!

He is a wizard with anything metal, and a mean slide guitar player. He's also terribly well spoken!

St Patrick's Seminary, Manly was the leading seminary of the Australian Catholic Church from its foundation in 1889 to its move in 1995.

The seminary closed in 1995 when numbers of seminarians no longer justified the large building.

The building is now occupied by the International College of Management, Sydney, however the Cardinal Cerretti Chapel (visible on the right) is still regularly used for weddings, most notably that of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban in 2006.

This is Patrick, he's living in the Herberge zur Heimat since almost 8 years. He studied law, mathematics and biology. I got the opportunity to talk to him for about an hour.

From September to November i got the opportunity to document the everyday life in a homeless shelter called "Herberge zur Heimat" right in the old city in Zurich, Switzerland. Mostly drug and alcohol abused people are living here. This series is entirerly shot on 120 film with a Mamiya 7.

"Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,

Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,

Christ on my right, Christ on my left,

Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,

Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,

Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,

Christ in the eye that sees me,

Christ in the ear that hears me."
