Bus shelter art. I noticed today while passing the stop (on a bus) that the street side has aliens and burning buildings.
Colas' 70801 slows for the TSR at Dalwhinnie with 6H51 0248 Oxwellmains to Inverness Millburn cement working.
Behind the train, Loch Ericht stretches into the distance with some winter snow remaining on Ben Alder. Clearly visible is the Dalwhinnie embankment dam at the NE end of Ericht which provides sufficient head of water for the powerhouse at Rannoch and the Tummel valley cascade hydro scheme.

I was taking night shots of the city from the Toronto Islands last night and caught this passing ferry during a long exposure. The yellow is from the lights at the ferry dock reflecting off the white hull of the boat.
I saw the boat coming and added a polarising filter to the lens to get the longer exposure necessary to allow it to move through the frame, it was going pretty slowly!
Large size, much better detail.

Two Mayan women, passing on along the waterfront of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Possibly my favorite image from the excellent workshop I recently attended led by @seekworkshops.
CSXT 8542, one of the very last YN2 SD50-2s on the roster, leads the rocket (Q473) out of Yulee, Fl past a pretty vandalized depot.
Two mountaineers crossing the Aletsch Glacier heading towards Jungfrau. This photo was taken from Sphinx viewing platform on top of Jungfraujoch.

As much as I am out and about I am very fortunate to not have had to deal with anything too tragic. That being said, this morning I saw a man die. I saw the paramedics working on him and call it. The weight of Monday morning is a real thing and some of our souls cannot bear the weight. My best friend died on a Monday morning some years ago. I have seen this man around from time to time and he has problems that often leave him drunk on the streets. I am not even sure why I am sharing this, but I do now that it affected me more than I thought and as hard as I try to put it aside, the thoughts of he and his life keep permeating mine. It makes me think about the fragile life we all have and how it can change so fast, be it with "problems" or not.
I did not take a picture of the scene and I am not the type of photographer who is interested in the subject matter such as this...its too personal for me and lingers for far too long after (although I do have great respect for what others can do that I can not). Saying that, I also did turn and click the shutter once as I passed (not sure why) and this is all there was of it. An impression of the scene. Like the one left on me.

For at least a week and a half Atlantic Saury have been gathering in large numbers in the area of the Canso Causeway, Nova Scotia. As has been my luck in past years I have always been too late to experience the frenzy that takes place as other animals feed on these fish. This year I was late again but was able to see and photograph some of the action in what would appear to be the last ,major pooling of these fish for another year. Here we have an Adult Northern Gannet passing in front of me
This tiny stream flows into the Afon Garw near Pont Yr Hyl. The Afon Garw was once known as the Black river because of all the coal dust from the five mines which used to be in the valley. Now you can spot trout in the speckled sunlight. The Afon Gawr in turn flows into the Afon Ogwr which reaches the sa at Ogmore
This is a 2 minute exposure that helps visualize the passing storm clouds. Post-processing in LR CC, PS CC, Topaz Clarity, Topaz Adjust.
50 050 Fearless passes by the engine house at Cofton.
No record was kept of this shot, but from the negatives either side on the strip I think this is 1C29, the 10:18 Paddington - Paignton

The yellow brick road and some of the flowers are not actually in this location, they were placed there for this photo. Still a lovely area though, great for taking photos.
I share my photos in groups so more people can see them, but I do not appreciate copied & pasted, pre-made comments with ad images for said groups. It comes off as spammy advertisement, to me. If you found my image and you like it, please make your own original comment. Otherwise, it will be removed. I don't mean to seem ungrateful, but I also don't think it's a compliment to spam someone with group ad images.
