Architects: Zaha Hadid Architects, 2011.
It is traditional to change a series of photos to some interior shots with a 'sunset' scene. It is also a reference to the loss of Zaha Hadid to the architectural profession. She was nothing short of a 'flash' of inspiration to a whole new generation of architects and when she got all the jig-saw pieces in right places she was brilliant.
Top photo is once again approach from the Car Park and bottom on is the approach from the city on the riverside footpath.
This is a parametric shutter and pinhole clamp designed to be fastened onto a small coffee can (espresso-sized) or similar. Used with sheet film or photographic paper, this kind of pinhole camera needs to be loaded (in the DARK) with fresh film or paper for every exposure.
Mount the shutter on the cap for a classic anamorphic pinhole camera.
The tripod mounts are pending as of these uploads.

Diagram of parametric tower model through varying parameters within a changing hypothetical superblock. This model incorporates steps 1-9 of this diagram (but with a constant core size).
Remodeled in Grasshopper3d (originally written in GenerativeComponents) and rendered with an adapted version of Giulio Piacentino's renderAnimation definition.

Adjustment of MRT stations and landings based on location of proposed high-rise development. These landings are linked to mid-rise buildings which are themselves incorporated within the plinth of the super-tall cluster when within a certain distance.
This video is still a little clumsy. The plinths are not properly modeled and though fully parametric, the towers themselves are not reacting to the environment except to engage the border of the superblocks and the street grid. (Also only every other floor is shown.)

Thesis in GSD Platform 2 by Actar
The Urban Generic is a "black-box" interface which projects parametrically computed urban futures at multiple levels of resolution. Based on analysis of Taipei's paridigmatic urban form and development patterns, the thesis rewires the Supertall project, now stripped of its signature, iconic status and repositioned as an anonymous "many."
Rather than offering a series of limited architectural proposals, this project provides an instrument with which to produce urban design dynamically. It is among a series of projects in the school today that aim to define the essential architectural concept as an amalgam of parameters and types of variability. In this instance, a mutable tower is shown to radically transform the city by altering the programmatic structure of a series of blocks and districts with infrastructural consequences of far greater reach.

This project investigates a computational design methodology with reconstructions of natural morphologies through computational algorithms based on Biomimetics whereby higher-performative architecture can be generated. Termite mounds as a representative reference of the highest performative system in nature in terms of its natural ventilation are interpreted as the combination between the streamlining external form and internal branching systems of air conduits. Furthermore, a computational algorithm, which can reconstruct termite mounds' morphologies, and a new design process looping between parametric designs driven by the algorithms and C.F.D. simulations are developed. This digital design process can make architectural forms adaptive to nature through the reciprocity between external conditions from environments and internal performances of architecture itself.

Instead of the usual blue light at night. Selfridges has gone orange after dark (the lights are orange now blue at the moment).
pattern of tiles
tiles are widely used as surface finishing in the built environment. there are different materials applied to tiles in different periods, clays mosaic and brick tiles in the 70s and 80s, marbles and homogenous tiles in the 90s and onwards.
the style and patterns of mosaic tiles in the 70s are the most memorable. those small-sized tiles applied in the most common spaces, in our everyday life such as residential lobbies, corridors, cafes, and became our collective memories as times goes by.
museum of hong kong
my project is inspired by those tiles of the 70s, rediscovered the parametres, explored different representations of tiles from 2d to 3d and experimented on applying those ideas to form a museum as a piece of architectural design.
