The purpose here is not to duplicate the original image, from Okinawa Soba's stream, but to generate an animated gif to assist viewing. Unfortunately, animation is not automatic - to animate you must view the image at original resolution (click all sizes) or simply scroll down.

Okinawa Soba posted several CC licensed stereoimages by T. Enami documenting life in early 20th century Japan (the Meiji period). The original image (circa 1900), presented for cross-eyed viewing and showing a group in Genkyu-en garden (Hikone park, Kyoto, Japan) is one of many stunning stereo compositions. Heed Okinawa Soba's advice and peruse the large size (of his original image). Manipulations in stereophotomaker lose resolution. This animated gif version exploits motion parallax to give a stereo illusion without eyestrain, to see what the photographer envisioned.

I know everyone has done this before. RFID and arduino that is. But looking at the example code it looks like the antenna is always in receive mode. I am not sure how this affects the life of the chip / reader but I thought of adding a way to detect human presence before activating the receiver.

I found some little IR heat detector (here: www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/IRD-10/INFRARED-... and tossed together some analog read code and viola. Now when the IR detector detects over a certain variable heat temp it activates the RFID reader.

I will post the code and write up on my blog.

黑盒子一詞來自於二十世紀中期研發出的飛行紀錄器的俗稱，用以紀錄飛機航行中的各式物理數據以及飛航人員之間的對話，讓意外發生時，事後的非在場者能夠得到當時的遺留資訊。

這個計畫以黑盒子為名，顯示了當代社會中，由“專業技術” “理性的絕對正當性”所主導的各式各樣的執行過程，在其中我們都只能經驗被設定過的外殼以及操作界面，而這些不建議過度追問的介面中其實限制了許多使用上的可能。

而副標題，偏移(Parallax) ，原指攝影機觀景窗與實際所攝圖像之間的知覺差距，在這裡意指對於既有結果的蓄意脫逃與觀念落差，以幾何學上旅行飛機的軌跡偏移點作為出發, 開啟觀者對於作品偏移點的各自想像, 三位作者在本次展覽中各自建立對於常識(類比於運動操作者的企圖)的想像, 如何對既有的觀念運動過程做出扭轉以及突擊, 相對於傳統現代主義式的對於操作者的單向質疑, 我們更關心如何對既有現象進行突襲式的介入, 進行以天空為背景的華麗奇觀建構。

一場經典的乘機旅程包含了對旅行投射的期待與想像，同時也包含了對乘機過程想像過程『毫無意外』的匱乏。黑盒子計畫的首部曲以偏移為名，解構了關於物體運動的起點與終點，並在形態上以碎片遺骸解除了一個完美(機體)完成品的可辨符號，於是班機不再只是抵達終點的目的性工具(夾帶著大量資本介入的誘人外表)，還開啓了途中種種偏離軌跡的可能。

本計畫的目的，並不在於改變現實中的結構，而在於開展出表象之外的想像可能。藉此，我們得以假想出種種二元對立的各式場域。其中包含：空間性的/真空 (Spatial/ Void) , 或是意識上的清醒/ 失神(Awake/ Syncope) 等等。
