Since lightning grows and harvests when there is a lightning strike, Shide Paper pulp imagines thunder and lightning and drives away evil things.

Paper: Hexagon cutted from John Gerard's paper (hemp paper?), 20 cm

Grid: 32 triangles

Model: Melina Hermsen

I bought some sheets of John's wonderful handmade papers in Erkner but didn't dare use one so far. I have three or four sheets of this one, because it's very thin, translucent and the visible folding lines give it a very special look (which many do not like, but I do). Folding was pure pleasure, easy and accurate; I folded more slowly than usually to savour the wonderful paper (nonetheless managed to prefold the offgrid folds wrongly, a bit visible in the middle).

The final model is ethereous, especially when backlit.

Storing colorful left over cuttings in glassine envelopes -taped in a journal for future use.

It was a very long and busy day at the office, everything was flying at full speed and people were still expecting more.

It was one of those days where you can feel the office melting off you as you walk towards that exit door and you just know that if you happened to be carrying a pile of papers you'd toss them in the air as you swung the exit open.

But days like that also fry your brain and I was grasping for ideas for today's photo when I got home. Light is limited in these autumns days so it's crucial to shoot shortly after getting home.

Luckily I remember it's October, leaves are everywhere and the month cannot go by without at least one ghost sighting.

Boo!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

So I found some torn old papers and the bottle is an antique ink bottle.

Every designer or architect needs to balance work with some down time just to create and draw. This leather pen roll is adapted to an architect's tools as well as some choice Cuban cigars kept in humitubes, along with cigar accessories. A matching leather pocket brief is customized to hold sheets of good quality stock sketching papers that are 4"x7", about the size of a Moleskine landscape sketchbook. When you roll up all the expensive drawing and meditation tools, you can roll the top flap down 2" so that the roll looks like a pack of temple incense. Monogrammed brass plates and a clutch strap suggest a gentleman's breast purse, luxurious and large enough to accommodate an hour or three of quiet rumination and careless sketching. It's function, being composed of two halves is neither serious or silly, but luxurious.

Testing a Minolta SRT 201 for my son that came with a nice set of Soligor lenses. Love the feel of the old Minolta and metal Soligor lenses.

Threw some Delta 3200 in shot at 1600 iso. I think the cameras meter is off and needs adjusting but like the big grain produced.
