A panoramic I took from my last day of hiking this year. Those two rocks leaning against each other to the right are glacial remnants leftover from the end of the last ice age and are marked as "The lovers" on the local trail maps.
Six shot, hnd held pano at 70mm landscape view with generous overlap of Tower Bridge and the frigate, HMS Belfast moored on the south side. Processed in Lightroom.

Holga Panoramic 120 plastic camera
It is quite challenging to envision panoramic images when your brain is wired for 1:1 and 4:3 aspect ration composition.
But in the end it is an enjoyable pano camera.
The image today is a panoramic shot looking north over Loch Leven towards Bishop Hill and catching part of the escarpment of Benarty hill from where the image was taken.
This image was taken just as the sun was descending over the horizon leaving the hills illuminated by the last rays but the basin of the loch was already in near darkness. Only the reflected light from the skies prevented the water area being too dark to work with.
This shot is a four frame horizontal panorama with HDR processing to bring out more of the colour range. The entire photoshop image is about 4GB in size which makes it a little difficult to work with but it’s worth it when I’m able to capture a nice scene like this. I have another version of this image where I have another frame to the left but that shot contains the sun which was just too bright and burned the frame out. I may still use it because I like the fact that the loch is complete in that image and this one feels a little stunted by chopping off the western edge of the water.
I enjoy producing panorama images like this because it makes the whole experience of seeing this first hand easier to comprehend but the time and effort it takes to post process this makes it something that I don’t do all that often. I could have post processed about a dozen long exposure images in the time it required to blend all these frames together. Please let me know if it was worth the effort. Thanks.
Information about the 19th century painters that created beautiful art here can be found all around the lake.
One thing I love about the American Southwest. There is such an abundance of beautiful vistas to see. Taken at Arches National Park.
These are two panoramics from my hike to Mt. Major yesterday. It's a very popular hike in New Hampshire. In the background you can see lake Winnipesaukee, as well as multiple islands. It was almost too hot for hiking yesterday.
My apology that these are captured by my mobile phone and therefore not DSLR quality.

This has to be one of my best cell phone panoramic images from last year. The one thing that always gets to me is how come today almost every cheap cell phone has a panoramic shot option yet my big expensive SLR does not and you have to splice images together? This image was taken at Arches National Park Utah when I as at this viewpoint and the need to take a panoramic image was self evident.
stitched panorama of the landscape surrounding CastelBrando, which lies on a steepm hill high above the beautiful landscape of the Veneto region in Northern Italy.
My attempt at stitching two shots taken from a moving vessel to make a panoramic shot of the American Falls (to the left) and Bridal Veil Falls (on the right) as we make our way towards Horseshoe Falls. For much of the time I couldn't see very well through my wet glasses, and my phone took a drenching, but we had a great day out.
One from last summer's trips up to Mount Rainier. Really tried to work the fog this time around. This shot is a 3 image pano. Fast moving fog rolling over Mazama Ridge looking on to the Tatoosh Range. Mount Rainier is directly behind me.
Image - single exposure, 3 captures - landscape orientation, cpol.
I've had a lot of personal things come up lately an I apologize for not being active in a while. As always though, thanks for the views, comments and favs! Have a great weekend everyone!
