YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Season 1 has finally started!

So meet the cast of Dangerous Pairs, season 1! I had quite a few last days entrants, that extension paid off!

So this would be the promo picture for Dangerous Pair, woo! Btw, it's kind of difficult to place a bunch of characters interacting together, pairs. Some are close, some are not and interacting differently but ah...so many handsome/gorgeous ones! And they are all different in styles I'm so impressed O.O I like unique and variety ^^

Pair of shoulders before clear-coating.

Side by side, two beach chairs await their sitters.

Originally housed in a Binondo cooperative office, these unusual armless benches have large addorsed S-scrolls carved on the backrest, separated by trapeziums decorated with bead and reel moldings. This same motif also appeared concurrently on cabinets and chairs. It is strongly made with one-piece seat on robust square legs and stretchers.

Pair of snowy egrets 10 days ago.

I was hoping to be able to catch some pix of the herons and egrets near my apartment in their mating dance. The day after I took these last shots the city workers dumped a huge mound of dirt and building rubble right next to the place where the birds had been gathering each day. The birds have not returned.

Cora has absolutely magnificent pix of herons and egrets on her site.

This is a pair of Hooded Mergansers that flew in and landed on a large patch of open water in the lagoon at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary on March 17th. You have to love her hairdo and his wonderful white crest edged in black. This can be raised, as in this image, or lowered. He looks quite spectacular in his breeding plumage.

These are ultrasound pictures from a few months ago. We are having twin girls in July. An obvious, yet unavoidable posting for the wordpool word of the week 'pair'.

A pair of bow fronted corner display cabinets

Estimate: PHP 80,000 - 100,000

1st quarter, 20th century

Manila

Narra wood, glass, brass mounts

189 x 90 x 56 cm (74 1/2 x 35 1/2 x 22 in) each

Provenance:

From the heirs of Hon. Gregorio Licaros, former Governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines

The practice of displaying precious objects started in the early 18th century England when wealthy people needed to store and display their fine porcelain and book collections. Nowadays, display cabinets house various treasures from precious silverware to collectible curios. Each cabinet has a molded cornice, below are double doors with glazed beveled glass, and a wood panel bottom fitted with integrated brass keyhole and pull. These are positioned at each corner of the wall, or they can be conjoined to form a seemingly one semi-circular cabinet.
