This pair of Ellipsoptera cuprascens with amorous intentions was at the Falls of the Ohio. Notice the male's front legs sticking out to the side while attempting to mate. Most tiger beetles do this.

A pair of pink cherry blossom catch a moment of sunshine on a changeable Spring day in Brueton Park, Solihull.
I was at the treatment plant by the Merrimack River in Penacook and hear an eagle up river...so I moved a little bit further upriver and saw this bald eagle pair sitting in a tree together (a good sign :) I only had my 300mm lens on the D90 and they were across the river from me. After snapping some quick shots - I went back to the car - grabbed the 500 mm and my D5100 ...then there was only one there. I believe the solo eagle was the larger one on the right (the female?). Neither seemed to have bands.
