So I want to show you guys my ongoing project for my Barbies. I have been eyeing on these doll cases called DollSafe from Collecting Warehouse. So I finally bought them and you can purchase them here ---> www.collectingwarehouse.com/Product-Home-Page/DollSafe-Br.... It gets really dusty here in our apartment so I wanted something that will keep the dolls dust free. Not only that, they're also multipurpose as the dolls won't be needing those annoying doll stands anymore. I just don't like that whenever I store those stands they take up so much space, plus if you have so many Barbie dolls those stands could get out of hand. I also like the fact that I can look at the dolls 360° without touching them or their hair. Buying a lot of these DollSafe can get really pricey. But I can sell the doll stands and replace them with these! I like them because they are compact. They're almost half the width of the Barbie Basics or The Barbie Look boxes. Unfortunately though the Model Muses with both arms on their waists and the Ken dolls don't really fit on the 3 x 2 x 12.5 Display Boxes that I purchased, so I'm going to try and get the 4 x 2.25 x 13 Boxes and see if they fit.
It would be hilarious if this goes to EXPLORE!

15) idea for something about a laser beam
16) modified idea for a laser beam. figuring out how to convey the ever-elusive "soft edge" in pen and ink.
someone once told me that once you have figured out how to make an even tone, a gradated tone, a hard edge and a soft edge you have mastered the technical aspects of that particular drawing media. then you're ready to actually draw with it.

Took my drone for a casual flight this evening over Page Mill Road and was pleasantly treated with an amazing sunset
Was watching an old film recently and was taken with that cinematic trick of wind blown calendar pages to illustrate the passage of time. First one month billows up, then another, and another at a rapidly increasing tempo. Feels that way in real life to me. For the most part, the transition, while fast, is relatively smooth. But I always feel an abruptness that occasions the arrival of November. The ever darkening mood of autumn is lightened somewhat throughout October. Bright foliage, often accompanied by a few warm days, and capped off with the festival atmosphere of Halloween, all tend to placate the mind. But suddenly November 1st arrives and the proverbial party is over. Halloween is finished; jack-o-lanterns are suddenly no longer relevant, even though they were carved with great excitement just a couple of days ago; and the clock change is imminent. Experience shows there will now be a head-long time warp that will transport us to Thanksgiving in the blink of an eye. And winter is at hand. There's an ominous tone to all of this, at least for me. I felt like I captured a visual sense for it last week as the drama played out in the sky above this lonely cornfield.
with the impending closure of the Navajo generating Station in Page, the BMLP days are numbered. Seen here during super hazy high sun a true BMLP adorned E60 leads the "morning" empty roaring upgrade out of the Lake Powell area. A rather large houseboat roaming the lake can be seen to the left of the frame. Looks rather tiny from up here.
Part of the summer roadtrip, Dad, DG, and I set out to try and capture the BMLP after departing Pueblo (Colorado). This would be my fourth visit to this isolated operation.
After what took two lifetimes to cross from Chama to Page we were greeted by a gorgeous morning. arriving at the power plant the train was spied, lucky- or so we thought.
Set up for this rather mundane angle it wasnt long before some employees of the plant arrived to inform us that 'photography of the plant isnt permitted", and someone else would be along to formerly ask us to leave. Albeit, we were trespassing, as we were standing on the shoulder of a state roadway! Common sense would indicate better photos of the power plant could be taken from the road half mile further west, not to mention from a moving car. Silliness. That wasnt the worst of it, also was informed the train wouldnt depart for another 3 hours. Three hours from 0630 MST meant dreaded high sun. after some raised tempers, it was decided we would go for a ride and visit the Glenn Canyon dam, and have some breakfast. A quick McD's, and a a 15 minute wait for the damn visitor center to open (that damn dam) everyone was nearly over the disappointment. Arriving back at the first photo location, the train was still hanging around the plant- an hour later the sumbitch finally started eastward. As it could have ended up much worse, no train at all, Ill take what I can get for a "Q&D" stopover in Navajo country.

Slicing up post-halloween pumpkins has been an ongoing tradition for the past 5 years.
This is the first year where I've been equipped enough to make something really cool out of it!
Unfortunately, (or fortunately), I haven't been able to figure out which of these three is the best and would invite you to leave a fave or comment to let me know which one you prefer!
I think each has their own strengths and weaknesses XD
I highly recommend you check out the SETUP SHOT

Super fun senior session with the lovely Alex Stenka. She's obsessed with Tech N9ne, but I'll give her a break since she's so flippin' photogenic.
