Last (for now) in my winter prairie road set. In three months this scene will be green grass, blue sky with puffy cumulus clouds, maybe fields of newly sprouted wheat. At present, it's a cluster of buildings and machinery, dwarfed by the overwhelming bleakness of a prairie winter.

99-photo multi-row HDR panorama. 31,915 x 16,553. (528 megapixels.)
Before sunrise. Sunrise would happen directly behind me shortly after this was taken.
I shot this from 20 meter to the left of Horsehoe Bend No. 1.
The lighting differences between these two photos are subtle at first, but once you study it more, they become very obvious.
I was able to keep more of the foreground going down the hill in this shot because I was standing on a rock (rather precariously) instead of behind a fence like the first photo.
This one only took ~2 hours to process using the new workflow. (Create HDR in LR, adjust with camera color profiles, export as TIF, import to PTGui, merge, edit in Photoshop to crop empty areas out, import into LR, edit in Topaz DeNoise AI, adjust treatment and tone curve in LR, then export final image.)
We only spent one night in Page, Arizona. I'm going to post a handful of photos from Horseshoe Bend taken at different times of day, under different lighting conditions, and from different perspectives. I also have some nice photos of Jess that I still haven't got around to sharing.

Those endlessly overgrown thickets that might at some dim time in the past been lovingly called boxwoods, were now in a state of complete abandonment. Their foully twisted branches and withered mottled leaves, a living testament to the stunted mutations which everywhere abounded prolifically; from the flat, impossibly abhorrent crabgrass that leant a cancerous appearance to the brown lawn, to the fungal rotten and moss encrusted line of sickly maple that spread their eerily shaped silhouettes over the warped root and down the cracked and falling front of the elder structure
Chaos list. Lick to add description.

This is because of a bizarre quirk of Flikr : my work is (perhaps) more suitable for adult consumption but I don't have and never have had any porn.

There's a creative concept by Julia Cameron called the Morning Pages, where you write three pages to empty the mind, give clarity and stimulate creativity. I'm finding that my morning pages are coming out as colours and pixels instead of words.

Because I'm a misunderstood artist with a dramatic flair who is in need of some new friends... clearly... ;) :
[03:51] Isaac: shadow is ruining the concept but still great dear

I expected the van to start talking at any moment. It looks like an animated character in a cartoon.
Last week I spent three days hiking in the upper area of Varaita’s Valley. It’s an amazing wild place: no internet connection, no big ski resorts, just a few mountain huts and only one paved road that links Italy to France at 2700 meters.
I was alone and I always slept in my tent. It’s the perfect situation for resting your mind and think properly. The more I do these experiences the more I love them.
I saw beautiful sunrises, sunsets, starry skies and beyond this, the lasts lights of Neowise comet.
Here you can see the last two italian villages before the border: Chianale and Pontechianale, with its artificial lake. Overlooking them the most important mountain of the area, Monviso, with a beautiful lenticular cloud crowning him.
I was at almost 3000 meters and, after an almost sleepless night spent shooting photos, it was such a pleasure to see this nature show. The wind blowing from the rock abyss in front of me was really impressive and scaring at times.
Black Mesa & Lake Powell empties depart the plant and leave behind Lake Powell just a few minutes before 1500. Jul 15, 2017
Empty pages before my eyes
Do not deny or criticize
Empty bedrooms where I've paid my dues
Watching the ceiling instead of you
Can you tell me where you've gone?
Ain't no one around to hear my songs
