When does "trash" become art? When is Art "trash? "
Redefining what is valauble in society. Litter often picked up in the gutters of my home town streets, now becomes a wearable piece of art.
New in Dec 2011...hardened steel wire reinforced fingers, and epoxy coatings make this durable for skate boarding, swimming, or any other activities.

Final project for my package design class. WAX is a fictional candle boutique targeted to predominantly independent, college-age females, but also males with the same sort of aesthetic tastes.
Boxes were printed on a Canon pro 9000 inkjet printer on Neenah Starwhite Tiara 100lb cover.
Sign and bag were screenprinted.
Catalog was duplex laserprinted.

Packaging project for a Morning-after Pill, marketed to three demographics. The first demographic was teenage girls. For this demographic I chose the name “Oops”, and the typeface for the logo is inspired by teenage doodles. The package design looks like lip-gloss, small and indiscrete, and the pink color was chosen to appeal to teenage girls. The second demographic were Goth females between the ages of 15-25, which inspired the iconography. The outside stone gray is tombstone shaped, the “Dead by Dawn” logo is dripping blood, a white skull, black bats, and the black pill itself comes in a black coffin which is tied to the package. The third demographic was 15 to 30 year old males interested in hip-hop, with the idea that they could give the pill unknowingly to the woman so they wouldn’t get pregnant. The package itself is the size of gum package and the edgy gun drawing, red color and “Blankz” logo uses hip-hop inspired iconography.
I printed a third card. When cut, breaks down into a square earring card and 2 hang tags. The back has orange pattern and spaces to write prices when selling at shows.

The original bottle is the 3rd bottle from left to right with the vertical lettering.
I am always looking at litter. If I had time I would do nothing but photograph the litter underneath my feet and make art with all of it. Gum and candy wrappers, and scraps of paper... its all tremendously interesting as nothing more - it can tell so many stories and contain mysteries.
When trash is repurposed/ its reborn and remade into something different, to view, ponder, and perhaps to wear.
Designed for my Package Design class. We were asked to come up with a concept for a regional gift/novelty item that worked both stand-alone and a three-piece set. My state was Oklahoma, so I looked to the Miami Indian roots of the state for inspiration. From there the stew idea was born.
Labels were laserprinted.
This one is the red bean moon cake, a pretty standard flavor. I got two standards and two fusion flavors. The two crazy ones are German black forest and Chocolate cheesecake.
