Over-processed shot of Wyatt approaching Ouzo at high speed for yet another session of pawing and being growled and snapped at.

Shot near Elappara, on the way to Kattappana..Used graduated filter in lightroom to bring in the details of the sky..not shot with proper settings (as I didnt have a tripod I had to shoot at f4), so it lacks the details..

Goofing off now... HDR + Orton... overprocessed to the nth degree.

I found this place a little ways from my apartment. I thought it was very interesting.

...they're too short! I'd much rather work 2 days a week and have 5 days off. Hey ho.

Btw, this place has some pretty funny folklore. Check this out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil%27s_Punch_Bowl#Local_legends

I'd like to claim the 'arty' effect was deliberate but actually I messed up the exposure and ended up with a contre-jour result that required much more post-processing than I'm normally comfortable with to get the butterfly close to what I saw. Given the effort of two visits and several hours waiting to finally spy one come down to the now sparse creeping thistle, below the Hollingbury Park Elms (E.Sussex near Brighton), I'll forgo restraint and not confine this to the virtual bin; at least until I can get a better one.

Whenever he sees a camera out or senses that photos are being made, my gets excited snd NEEDS to have a photo taken of him. Here he asked me to take a photo of him wearing his sweatshirt over his PJs...

Perhaps a little too overprocessed? Thoughts appreciated.

Animals can suffer and feel pain. They need greater protection worldwide. We are seeking this in the form of a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare (UDAW) at the United Nations.

Taken in Paros this summer.

Actually the two kids were taunting the little guy at the balcony... but the picture is like their escaping from somewhere... a little overprocessed trying to give a painted like feeling.

My fiance mentioned that my previous edit of this photo was overprocessed, so I re-edited... only lightly this time ( :

#Raphadramatic snaps from the Leicester Forest Cycling Club's annual road race in September 2014.

Please don't pinch my pictures. If you'd like to use them, then let me know. I probably won't charge, but it's nice to be nice, right?

My main Flickr stream, that has less pictures of men in lycra, is here: www.flickr.com/photos/placid_casual/

Overprocessed for effect. Do you like it?

Probably the wrong time of day to be shooting. Gorgeous weather though.

Sheets in a blue place

Both hands bound behind her back

It's a mystery

1. A sheet (or drapery) - (Sheet Strip!)

2. A location where we don't expect to find a sheet (or drapery) - (As a binding agent)

3. A Gothic mood (I tried)

Sometimes it's fun working with a model!

A revisit from 2007. A slightly different angle and I didn't over process this picture. The picture I took in 2007 wasn't taken in a canoe and I have a lighter touch in Lightroom so I don't overprocess my images as much as I used to. The lake is still beautiful though! The picture I took in 2007 is here for comparison.

This one has that "postcard" aspect that I tend to avoid, but these landscapes are so amazing that I didn't want to overprocess it.

The Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone is a beautiful image by itself. Normally I try to do as little processing on my images as possible, however, for this shot I let myself get carried away.

FUDGE CAKE

3 cups dry walnuts

2/3 cup unsweetened cacao powder or carob powder

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1 cup pitted Medjool dates

FROSTING

1?3 cup semi-soft pitted Medjool dates

1/4 cup agave syrup

1/2 cup ripe avocado flesh (from about 1 medium avocado)

1/3 cup cacao powder

FILLING

1/2 cup raspberries

To make the cake, combine the walnuts, cacao powder, and salt in the food processor and pulse until coarsely mixed. Avoid overprocessing. Add the dates and pulse until mixed well. Shape into 2 stackable cakes of desired shape and set aside.

To make the frosting, combine the dates and agave syrup in the food processor and process until smooth. Add the avocado and process until smooth. Add the cacao powder and process until smooth.

To serve, frost the top of one of the cakes with half the frosting and top with the raspberries. Stack the second cake on top and frost the top and side. Serve immediately, or place in the refrigerator for a couple hours to firm up.

The cake on its own will keep in the fridge for many weeks. The frosting will keep separately in the fridge for 1 week. The assembled cake with raspberries will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Taken on a foggy day, late in the afternoon. Overprocessed, but deliberately so to get a sort of almost ghost story type feel to it.

it's been sunny here for i can't even remember how long, which has made for a glorious spring. but it also means i have to water the garden at least every other day. so i slipped outside to do that while tex fed a whiny m her dinner. and soon my sister and her family are coming over to babysit so we can have a much needed date night where we shall drink fancy drinks and eat delicious food. happy friday!

What's up Homewood? Yo, where are all your people at?

Dog, I'm up in your buildings taking sub par pictures, forcing me to compensate by overprocessing and writing kitschy blurbs, but where are all the people? And what's up with your BBQ joint and your bank-y building?

What's the deal Homewood?

I've been catching a lot of flack lately for all of my "overprocessed" HDR shots, so here is a standard out of the camera version. To me it looks kind of "blah" but who knows, maybe someone will like it! :-) Shot this one with the Ol' D50 box and Sigma 10-20mm.

My friends sister jenna. Senior picture. Flickr messed the colors bigtime, it's now much colder. But it's still good.

Today’s Daily Shoot assignment is:

Make a photograph that incorporates a circle.

Get out there, take a photograph, upload it, and tweet a link to @dailyshoot with the hashtag: #ds490

A circle you say? Cool! Another excuse for more star trails! After all, they're kind of circular! Tried to get a really long trail, but those darn clouds got in the way. Made from 28 x 30 second exposures whipped and beaten into submission using a combination of Lightroom and GIMP.
