This is a corner that is so hard to find, it might as well be a movie set. The streets are still cobblestone lined.
Was fiddling with the curves in GIMP and came up with this by accident, which I think looks fantastic, like a fantasy picture or a movie poster.

So this is the Muir Woods most people know. Giant redwoods reaching up for a heaven that will inevitably deny them, but scraping off enough of its color and light to appeal to the eye.
So this is pretty much an abomination of overprocessing, the Courtney Stodden of photographs, as it were. I wanted it to be a sort of companion piece to my Arashiyama photo (flic.kr/p/6ssc1N), but I think I may have gone overboard.
I didn't know whether to keep the lens flare (natural, not processed!), but I actually thought it was aesthetically appropriate since, y'know, these are tall ass trees and light is blinding. But the Orton and the HDRing...what have I done!?
My ride. I loves it. And for the record I felt like a materialistic fool taking a picture of it.

Another simplest dish which is absolutely tasty - signature of Japanese cuisine for letting the food's natural taste rule instead of overprocessing it.
187 - Our Daily Challenge - "Vandalism":
Technically it's not vandalism, but a barrier against vandalism/theft. It's a seriously overprocessed macro of one of the several padlocks on our fence gate. I apologize for not going out to find any authentic vandalism, but it's HOT out there people! It was all I could do to stand in our driveway for a few shots. And yes, I said SEVERAL locks on our gate. You don't want to know. Raise your hand if you're old enough to remember when we didn't lock our home, car, bike, whatever. I miss those Leave it to Beaver days! And please, can we shoot something pretty for ODC tomorrow? :)
Nikon D5000, 105mm
an old shot from high school. Kind of overprocessed, especially in the eyes. Plus it didnt upload well to flickr.
What's up Homewood? Yo, where are all your people at?
Dog, I'm up in your buildings taking sub par pictures, forcing me to compensate by overprocessing and writing kitschy blurbs, but where are all the people? And what's up with your BBQ joint and your bank-y building?
What's the deal Homewood?

The Golden Rule says do unto others as you would have them do unto you. How come more then half the time I dont see this? I see many one sided efforts. Its not a happy thing when you cant abide by a rule taught to you way back in elementary school.
So I took a bunch of self portraits today, cause i found the setting on my camera where you can make the pictures have a blue filter and such. And i took a few I like...then i did this to a picture, idk i couldnt deal with the bland simplicity of a selfie for tonight. So you get this over processed ( looking very over cooked) me. And its golden. and reminds me of the golden rule because of what i said earlier and saw today. So yeah, here ya go :) and yes, its 24 minutes late.

A very hurried picture of (after my camera and tripod) my most used photographic tool - an ancient desk lamp with a fabulous stiff bendy stem that stays where you put it! Must admit I wasn't too fussed about the outcome of this shot - just glad the camera was working (see below). Two images blended together (lamp on and off) and background colour changed.
There very nearly wasn't a @dailyshoot entry from me today.

M33 - Pinwheel in Triangulum (NGC 604)
Restacked with three different image runs. The camera orientation was different between 1 and 2,3 hence the odd cropping.
Perhaps this is a little overprocessed.

tiring day. went out to practice driving... practice not hitting anybody anyway. hard work! really stupid shot for the day. over-processed much? i like the silhouette though. only it doesn't look like anything at all so i added the me in it.

114/365. "The journey in between what you once were and who you are now becoming is where the dance of life really takes place." Got a little crazy with the post on this one!
NAIST in Nara. Not bad, exactly, but a little boring, kind of flat picture, so perfect for some serious overprocessing.
Um yes. Far too processed :|
It's my little digital camera im holding.. too much processing made it not really visable. Haha.
We went to the woods, took a lot of pictures as i do. And have of them came out in NEF file instead of JPEG. Because i was fiddling about with RAW. My bad. So half the files aren't usable untill i figure out how to work this parade. :(
Raw's great and all, but too hard to work.
Plus, it rained really heavy, so we took shelter under the trees, all fun untill a massive ass spider came crawling infront of me on his web! I screamed and im pretty sure the whole of my town heard. Kathryn thought this was funny. I did not. Im petrified of spiders!
We are making buns tomorrow but. Yay :)
Okanagan Autocross
This was a fun edit. I am learning photoshop so this tutorial had me cut out the car and blur the background and add the car back in. I processed both layers separately and then touched the image up back in lightroom.

#Raphadramatic snaps from the Leicester Forest Cycling Club's annual road race in September 2014.
Please don't pinch my pictures. If you'd like to use them, then let me know. I probably won't charge, but it's nice to be nice, right?

Built 1908 by the American Bridge Co. Using an unusual double-intersection Warren deck truss swing span. ( I looked it up) The rust and peeling paint give this bridge a "natural" overprocessed HDR look.
Saw this pink Ravana at this years Ram Leela and Dussera celebrations at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.
(me thinks the HDR is a tad overprocessed though)
A crappy shot of some Red Ribbons (clarkia concinna) on a windy day. I dressed them up to make them more or less presentable should company drop by for a look.
Finally got round to processing shots from the last couple of weeks. Not 100% happy with the job I did on this one, but it'll do for now. I love the mist on Frensham common in the middle, would've made a great time-lapse but I only got 28 frames of it. Tweaked in Lightroom (damn, why did I download that RC version of Lightroom? It's just too good, I'm going to have to buy the real thing now!!) and stacked, straightened and cropped with GIMP.
