What's up Homewood? Yo, where are all your people at?
Dog, I'm up in your buildings taking sub par pictures, forcing me to compensate by overprocessing and writing kitschy blurbs, but where are all the people? And what's up with your BBQ joint and your bank-y building?
What's the deal Homewood?
so, we had some storms roll through Wake Forest tonight - I know this looks like I took this during the daylight - this was actually taken around 10:30 pm.
The sky is lit from the lighting that the storm brought with it - and the rain was pretty heavy.
This is a 30 second exposure - and yes - I am fully aware that I over processed the crap out of this image - but I like it that way.
...and yes you want to see this BIG - View On Black
Overprocessed again for a second teaser :)
From The Teaser.
Wonderful day for photos.. really wanted to test out some speedlight-age. Sb-600 and Sb-800 triggered wirelessly by a nikon d80.
Here: 600 left and 800 right, at 85 and 105, both at 1/1
I have many more from this shoot that I would like to get uploaded. Also, I've just started to play around with some of the options in Picasa, so please forgive any overprocessing!

this , my friends is my first ever hdr........ unfortunately it is a picture of my room which is a mess,.....but i think that mess gave a lot of texture to the image
The sun setting over downtown Manhattan with the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges to the left.
This shot was quite overexposed so I tried to correct it, but now I feel it looks a bit overprocessed. Any thoughts?
I know, I know... this just isn't very good at all. I could go through all the disclosures... but, who cares. :-p....
I dyed my hair pink a week ago, my cat is on his last legs... and I had to get a picture before both things run out...
The good news is, I finally have something to post for Breast Cancer Awareness month! =D
Time seems to move so fast these days, I sometimes wonder what I must be missing as it screams past.
For once this is one best viewed small, it's really grainy otherwise, plus I've opted for it looking best on black, as opposed to mediocre on both black and white, so yeah, small and on black

SB-24 fired wirelessly through umbrella 3 feet above camera left @ 1/2 power. Ran through photomatix then brought into PS and ran a dragan action.

My new walking boots gave my a nasty blister on my heel this morning and my crocs were the only option for comfortable footwear. I committed a terrible sin and wore them to work and even walked to the shop along the road from work too.
It was only when I got to work that I noticed that my crocs matched my top and my hairclip. Ooops.

I clipped the highlights on this guy's face and couldn't save it, so I thought I'd mess around with some crazy processing. This is the weird result.

Please don't pinch my pictures. If you'd like to use them, then let me know. I probably won't charge, but it's nice to be nice, right?

Unfortunate mistake. Farmers' Market Ogden Utah Aug 27, 2022. I shot thison a great day - Kodacolor 400 from 1983. I shot it at EI 200 and then, mistakenly, thought I should adjust again in development and added 20 seconds ... ? The roll was extremely overdeveloped which was extremely disappointing because of the great shots. The negatives were impenetrable. Since I did bleach bypass I went back and washed the film, bleached with potassium ferricyanide for 8 minutes and then fixed again for 8 minutes. The negative came out much clearer, but as you can see with MUCH loss of detail and extremely flat. If my life was at stake, I guess we could say it worked, but most of the interesting stuff is gone.
However after seeing these results and some others, both mine and other folks' I think I'm arriving at with expired color film - adjust the light and compensate for age, etc. And then develop normally. We'll see what I do next.
For the Utata Hands project.
Really fun breakfast today at Del Monte Cafe with many opportunities for the Utata Hands project this weekend. I think a recurring protest has been "is this for Utata?"
I think I overprocessed it a little, but I still like it.
The Rynek (town square) in Cieszyn, Poland. This was my first day of HDR and ND grads and this is the first edit of this image.

Not really celebrating Christmas this year, so I am spending my Christmas Eve overprocessing photos, folding laundry, and finding the least obnoxious show to watch on tv. Happy holidays to you and yours. :)
No idea what these are. Hugo found them on the way back from nursery today.
Hideous, hideous day with the children. A real low point actually. Even the macro filters and Picmonkey wouldn't co-operate with me so this is too overprocessed for my liking. Have just poured this evening's second glass of red...
Taken at the Brisbane Camera Group Pullenvale Shoot.
I decided to give this gorgeous model the 'full glamour treatment" to practice my PS'ing and PP software on a human model. Possibly overprocessed but overall quite happy with this for a first attempt. Would really appreciate constructive feedback, as I have another 200 to go through!!

Overprocessed to death.. I know, I know... But had to salvage something from it. The photo had potential.
I thought it would have been funny to have this in my 365 for today but my son said this is really scary and awful, that I look like a murderer...what, me??!! Well I decided to upload it anyway :)

Shot this guy outside the tour bus window while driving through Canada...with my camera of course. If I'd of shot it with a gun it would of been a picture of BBQ (that's a joke animal rights).
I have no idea how the man got over there and how he got out and what the hell he was doing.
A slight overprocessing here?
A Coruna
This is not what it appears to be. This is a photo of a rickety old house but those flowers got in my way...

One of our favorite style icons is giving us major hair inspiration. Jennifer Lawrence has changed up her hair yet again and added bangs!
The 26-year-old was recently spotted rocking some chic, blunt bangs on the set of her upcoming film “Red Sparrow.”
While the new ‘do is likely for her role as a Russian spy in the film, we aren’t sure if it’s wig or an actual chop. She looks so fabulous that we’re hoping this fringe is here to stay.
Lawrence is no stranger to changing up her ‘do. From bobs to pixies to even different types of bangs, she’s tried it all.
While the actress has been a blonde for most of her career, in May 2016, she stepped out with platinum locks that created instant summer hair color inspiration.
This flirty bob looks inspired by flapper girls in the ’20s.
This haircut was the result of her grown-out pixie — but the slicked-back style really works for her.
She made the chop into a pixie in 2013 after explaining that her hair was fried from being overprocessed.
Months before making the big cut, Lawrence had cascading, light brown tresses, which made it even more shocking when she went for such a drastic and dramatic look.
But that wasn’t the darkest hair color she’s had. In 2012, she had chestnut brown locks and a completely different look.
And then there was the period in 2012 when she had blunt bangs and strawberry blond hair.
Before that, in 2010 when her career was just beginning to kick off, she really looked like the girl next door with these soft curls.
Short or long, dark or blonde, bangs or no bangs, it seems like Lawrence can rock any hairstyle.
What will she try next?
