In case you are wondering, CMCR means Colour Mobile Control Room

The gas and electricity outage in Caddington continues. Some homes in the village have gas, some has electricity, some have both, some have neither. A real mixed bag. Our gas is still out but at least we have electricity. An eerie silence decended on the village last night with further power cuts. The emergency rest centres have been open 24 hours a day for the last few days and have done a great job.

Meanwhile, the snowy weather continues to hamper the army of men busy working away down numerous holes scattered around the village

We've had no gas supply for 2 days now, and last night half the village lost it's electricty too. Water in the pipes apparently. People actually had water squirting out of their gas cookers and fires! Wherever you go in the village there's a guy in a yellow jacket digging a hole, it's bloody freezing too. Heaters and cookers have been handed out by National Grid who have been really professional throughout. Temporary generators are being installed currently to try to get the electricity back on. I guess inevitably lots of homes will require new meters, cookers and boilers etc.

The BBC & other news crews were seen waiting for around two weeks (from the begining of June 2011) at Villa Park waiting for Villa to annuonce the appointment of a new manager after Villa's previous manager Gerard Houllier had resigned due to ill health. On the 17th June 2011 the controversal desision was made to appoint Alex McLeish from Villa's rivals Birmingham City, this just five days after he resigned from his post at St.Andrews causing shock and anger amongst both sets of fans!

BBC Bristol's Type B radio outside broadcast vehicle seen outside Wells Cathedral

Peugeot 806 GLX HDI (manual). DVLA have the colour as white.

One of a fleet of identical 806s to be fitted out as mobile, roving studios for the BBC's local radio stations. This one belonged to BBC Radio Norfolk, and was supplied by 'Oxford Motors', seemingly now 'Bristol Street Motors' (Peugeot dealer).

Registered by late 2001, presumably entering service reasonably soon after, it's seen in late 2006 conducting interviews in King's Lynn about allotmenting. This example was probably scrapped during 2015 after covering 130,000+ miles. It failed an MOT in 2014 due to excessive corrosion. Last taxed in 2018.

From other Flickr uploads, OY51HBE must've served alongside X629POG - an identical (but actually white) 806 registered in late 2000. POG outlived this car by 2 years - last MOT expired in 2017 - although it's currently SORN.
